The head peacekeeper has ordered his peacekeepers to fire upon the citizens of district 12. Men, women, children This is a genocide. Every street was littered with lifeless and limp bodies.
The citizens of district 12 are more incensed than ever. They have now everything to lose and are giving their all in their fight against the peacekeepers. The peacekeepers have suffered heavy losses as well.
Citizens of other districts, upon hearing this news, have become even more incensed and have also started to arm themselves. Reports of skirmishes in district 10 have emerged now.

Get railed!

The Capitol had always relied on total control—surveillance, loyalty, fear. But now, their own people were betraying them. Informants had embedded themselves within the very structure of the regime. Individuals hailing from all rungs of society were feeding information to the rebels. The rebellion has just officially planted its foot within the Capitol.
Bomb Threats
Threats have emerged, causing mass panic amongst the citizens of the Capital. They are frantic and many of them have decided to stay home, heavily impacting the economic productivity of the Capitol.

BREAKING NEWS! Reports indicate that certain goods such as food and medicine are being smuggled directly into the Capitol. This issue is especially severe in District 7, where resources are being funnelled out of the District at alarming rates. Certain Capitol elites indulge in this illicit trade to maintain their lavish lifestyles, and contraband flourishes under the government’s nose. District Citizens cannot access their own resources.
The tightening grip on supplies has driven certain factions to take up arms, spurred on by the inaction of the Capitol. Something must be done NOW!

The prey are now the predators. Once at the very bottom of the food chain, the citizens of district 12 have now seized the upper hand. There are reports emerging that the peacekeepers are being ambushed and captured. Officials in district 12 have gone missing and the supply of coal from district 12 has vanished overnight. Questions about how to power the city have now emerged. Are there other sources that can be considered?
Unrest will continue to spread to surrounding districts. It is believed that some rebels from districts 3 and 12 have linked up. Containment needs to begin!
Surveillance in district 12 is down. The command in district 12 is left in the dark as to how the situation on the ground is evolving. They cannot monitor rebel activity or the movement of their own peacekeepers.
Without intel, reinforcements were being sent to the wrong locations. Entire squads were walking into ambushes without warning. The rebels, once hunted, had become the hunters.

The first Peacekeeper dropped with a bullet through his torso. Many followed. They were dropping like flies.
Havoc gripped the district as bullets rained down on the district and shots rang throughout the streets.
District 3, the Capitol’s prized technology hub, was in open revolt. They are incensed by the poor working conditions and the favourable treatment of the Capitol elite. This district is the cornerstone of the Capitol’s military might and its people were armed and marching towards the mayor’s office. They were equipped with state of the art body armour and weaponry. The scale of organisation required to pull this off was profound.
Many questions remain. How exactly did the arms make their way into the hands of the rebels? How much equipment do they have? Are there such instances in other districts as well?

A devastating biological attack has brought Panem into a state of panic, as a deadly pathogen,confirmed to be engineered and released by a rogue rebel faction, is spreading rapidly through the Capitol and outlying districts.
Intelligence sources confirm that the virus was developed in a secret lab by a radical faction within the rebellion, in an attempt to eliminate remaining Capitol loyalists. The virus was first deployed through Capitol water supplies, but panic and mass movement of people have facilitated its spread far beyond intended targets. This reckless act of biological warfare has single handedly endangered all of Panem.
Reports mention that the infection is airborne, but also spreads through contaminated water sources, possibly an unforeseen consequence of its rushed development. Effects of the infection include high fever, violent coughing fits, neurological deterioration, and eventual organ failure.
THIS IS NOT A DRILL. Act now or we are all DEAD.

A harvest of ashes
The smell of fire permeated the air.
Thick clouds of smoke billowed from district 9, the district in charge of grain production.
It started with the silos. The towering structures, once filled with grain meant to feed all of Panem, went up in flames. The very food bowls of Panem have now been turned into a knife at the throat of the nation
The farmers and mill workers, turned rebels overnight, have fought ferociously alongside the rebels from District 13. Peacekeepers in full riot gear were helpless in the face of such strong resistance. Their weaponry was for naught.
The rebels are now in complete control. Your supply of grain has now been cut off.

Peacekeepers or peace-takers?
A leaked video from District 12 shows Peacekeepers “brutally suppressing” a protest. The said protester was violently beaten with batons and his bloodied body was dragged away.
The video has been circulated far and wide. However, this clip is taken out of context and does not show the protester attacking the peacekeepers. The peacekeepers are portrayed as violent aggressors.
