Using the EZ Lock Docking System simply requires that you guide your wheelchair into the docking base until the interfacing bracket attached to the wheelchair locks securely into place.

Once in position, just pull forward a few inches and the wheelchair engages the docking system.

The pin attached to the interface bracket is captured by a pair of steel 1/4″ locking levers and is securely held in place by the docking base.

There are many different types of slimes found throughout the Dragon Quest and Rocket Slime series. These include slimes in different colors, bubble slimes, which look like pools of slime, nautical slimes that wear conch shells, the rare metal slimes, which have high defense, give out large amounts of experience points, and tend to flee from battle, healslimes, which have tentacles, gem shaped slimes like the emperor slime, cube shaped box slimes, and king slimes, which are very large slimes wearing crowns and come in various versions, such as regular or metal.(4)

The Slime made its first appearance in Dragon Quest as the first and weakest enemy in the game, and has made a similar appearance in all subsequent Dragon Quest titles.(1) In Dragon Quest V, the monster is an easy recruit that learns a variety of magic spells. The Dragon Quest Slime has received positive reception from critics and fans, being called the 'most prolific' of all the 'memorable' monsters from the series and is one of the most recognizable characters in gaming.(2)(4) The Slime has also been called cute and charming by several critics, especially when reviewing Rocket Slime.(11)GamesRadar listed it as the most lovable blob in video games, calling them the 'equivalent of training wheels' due to how easy they are to defeat typically, but also saying that their weird smile makes players think twice about killing them.(20) They also listed it as a character they wished they knew less about.(21) They stated that while they started out as nothing more than things for players to kill and not feel guilty about, the playable role of a Slime in the Dragon Quest Heroes series made them realize they were more than just generic enemies.(21) In the January 2010 issue of Nintendo Power, the editors listed the Slime among its Favorite Punching Bags, a list including Goombas and Octoroks.(22) They wrote that 'The Slimes are just so cute and friendly-looking, it's almost hard to slay them. Insert the ExamView disc into the CD-ROM drive of your computer.

Microsoft Windows: If the autorun feature is enabled on your computer, a window will automatically appear on your screen. Click the Install button and skip to step 5. If the autorun window does not appear, proceed to step 2.

Macintosh: If necessary, open the installer window then double-click the ExamView Assessment Suite installer icon. Proceed to step 5.

Click the Start button and choose Run.

In the Run window, type d:setup.exe, replacing d with the drive letter that corresponds to the drive where the setup file is located.

Click the OK button.

Follow the instructions that appear on your screen.

Remove the installation disc when finished.

The rival to the Toyota Tacoma and Ford Ranger finally gets a competitive redesign.

The current Nissan Frontier is ancient in automotive years, arriving on the market at the tail end of George W. Bush’s first term as president. Since then, the midsize pickup segment has changed more than American politics, its entrants serving increasingly as suburban family cars, as well as work trucks and off-roaders. In that first role, the old truck struggled, but not to worry: The redesigned 2022 Nissan Frontier is finally here.

The updates go further than crisp new styling and an attractive interior. Alongside those skin-deep changes is a new suite of safety and technology features, integrating standard forward collision warning, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, and more. A standard 3.8-liter V6 and nine-speed automatic transmission send 310 horsepower and 281 pound-feet (231 kilowatts and 381 newton-meters) to the rear or all four wheels, depending on configuration. Remember, that engine arrived in 2020, giving the previous-generation Frontier the only significant update during its 17-year production run.

SETTINGS

The truck seen here – a Pro-4X model – features a high-clearance front bumper with unusual, vertical slashes where it meets the wheel arches, leading us to draw some comparisons with the current Chevrolet Silverado 1500. Those aforementioned front fenders give way to Titan-like door skins and rear fenders that bulge out where the bed meets the cab, ending in C-shaped taillights that echo the headlight design somewhat. A tailgate stamped with a subtle ducktail spoiler and “FRONTIER” wordmark invite more Titan inspiration.

The 2022 Frontier is a huge departure from its predecessor, which is why we’re somewhat surprised to learn that it makes use of the old truck’s basic chassis and cab structure. That’s apparent in the shape of the windshield, roof, and rear window, as well as the door openings. However, Nissan stylists were obviously very careful to ensure that almost every other square inch of sheet metal and glass are different from the outgoing truck – the new one looks far more contemporary and attractive.

Looking at the spec chart, the shared bones become more apparent. King Cab (Nissan parlance for “extended”) and crew cab short bed trucks ride on a 126.0-inch wheelbase, an increase of just 0.1-inch relative to 2021. Meanwhile, the crew cab long bed’s 139.8-inch wheelbase is 0.1-inch shorter than before. At 210.2 inches long, the standard 2022 pickup is 4.7 inches bigger bumper to bumper – the same can be said of the 2022 crew cab long bed’s 224.1-inch length. Width is likewise up 0.2-inch, to 73.0 even.

Interior Decorating

Underneath its techno-chic new styling is a likewise-new interior that takes direct aim at the exuberantly styled Toyota Tacoma’s cabin, particularly given the Lava Red accents that appear liberally on the Pro-4X. A beam-like structure houses the instrument cluster, seemingly cutting through the center stack before emerging as a stitched fascia panel in front of the passenger. Identical HVAC outlets for the both front-seat occupants and a climate control binnacle flanked by a 12-volt outlet and the four-wheel-drive selector create visual symmetry and an appealing design.

The Frontier will come standard with an 8.0-inch infotainment display, the largest standard screen on offer from any pickup manufacturer – only the Titan’s identically sized base display matches it. Additionally, the midsize truck will offer a 9.0-inch screen, giving it that all-important best-in-class distinction. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will be standard, as will a USB-A and USB-C port up front. A wireless charger, Wi-Fi hotspot, and surround-view monitor will be optional. Nissan says the center console is almost twice as large as most midsize trucks, at 4.0 liters, while added rear door pockets improve stuff storage as well.

Gone Truckin':

While the exterior is a drastic departure from the old truck, the cabin looks a bit more similar – the shape of the door panels, for example, is a near-exact riff on the theme we’ve seen since 2005. And hard plastics look like they’ll abound in the new truck, including the top of the dash, glove box, door panels, and center console. Padded plastic shows up on the armrests, dash fascia, and console-mounted grab handles only, if our eyes are to be believed. But the Chevrolet Colorado, Ford Ranger, and Toyota Tacoma also feature Rubbermaid-spec interiors, so the Frontier should at least be class-competitive.

Brawn and Brains

In addition to a few structural components, the 2022 Frontier also includes a carryover powertrain, a standard 3.8-liter V6 introduced last year. Offering class-leading power and more than enough low-end torque, the V6 should be a good option for pickup buyers, and its nine-speed automatic transmission does a good job of selecting the right gear for the job. In our test of the 2020 Frontier Pro-4X, we found the V6 engine to be more tractable than the wheezy 3.5-liter V6 of the Toyota Tacoma or the high-strung 3.6-liter found in the Chevrolet Colorado, both of which require far more revs to gather momentum.

Unfortunately, its husky engine doesn’t net big towing or payload numbers for the 2022 Frontier. Nissan says the midsizer can haul up to 1,610 pounds of payload or tow up to 6,720 pounds. The Tacoma, for example, can lug 1,620 pounds of stuff in the bed and tow a 6,800-pound trailer, while the Ranger can tow 7,500 pounds and haul 1,920 pounds. The gas Chevy Colorado tows 7,000 pounds, while its available diesel ups the ante to 7,700. The Frontier pips its Bow Tie competitor in payload, however – the Colorado can only haul 1,569 pounds. It also beats out the Honda Ridgeline in both metrics.

Helping modernize the old Frontier’s somewhat sketchy handling characteristics is the work of a larger front stabilizer bar and a new rear stabilizer bar, with class-exclusive urethane jounce bumpers improving damping performance over bumpy roads or through corners. Nissan says the 2022 Frontier also gets hydraulic cab mounts, which reduce vibrations and harshness by 80 percent. A retuned hydraulic rack-and-pinion steering setup brings a 16-percent-faster ratio, improving response from the helm.

Safety: The Final Frontier

Unlike its sparsely equipped predecessor, the 2022 Nissan Frontier includes several advanced safety and driver-assist features. Forward collision warning is standard, while automatic emergency braking and intelligent cruise control are optional. Fully loaded, the Frontier’s Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of technology also includes lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, and class-exclusive rear automatic emergency braking. Nissan Pro-Pilot Assist technology isn’t available, which means no lane centering or navigation-linked cruise control, but otherwise, the new Frontier is a huge improvement over its predecessor.

Still, the base Frontier lags behind the Ranger, which offers automatic emergency braking and collision monitoring standard, and Tacoma, which also includes adaptive cruise at no cost. However, the Frontier is more advanced than the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon, neither of which include any sort of collision warning or intervention features on their base models. In fact, automatic emergency braking and adaptive cruise aren’t available on any of GM’s midsize truck offerings – not even the luxury-oriented Canyon Denali.

Off-Road Ready

Like its predecessor and the larger Titan, the 2022 Nissan Frontier will again feature a rugged, stylish Pro-4X variant. Along with the Lava Orange interior and exterior accents, the Pro-4X gets an electronic locking rear differential, underbody skid plates, and specially tuned Bilstein shock absorbers. The 2022 model will also add an Off-Road mode for the 360-degree camera, which engages at low speeds when the transfer case is in 4-Low. The forward-facing camera helps the driver spot obstacles on the trail, preventing damage and scrapes.

If it’s anything like the outgoing truck, the 2022 Nissan Frontier should offer surprising off-road capability. In fact, the 2020 Pro-4X’s suspension performance in rough terrain is equal to that of the more expensive Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro, owing particularly to those well-tuned Bilsteins. Here’s hoping Nissan left well enough alone, because the Frontier is a hidden gem among factory off-roaders.

Wheelin' And Dealin'

The 2022 Nissan Frontier will come in four different grades (S, SV, Pro-4X, and Pro-X), two cab styles, and two bed lengths. The King Cab pickup is offered with two- and four-wheel drive in either S or SV trim, paired exclusively to a 6.1-foot bed. The crew cab will come with two- or four-wheel drive in the S and SV trims, while four-wheel drive will be standard on the Pro-4X. Like its name suggests, the Pro-X crew cab offers many of the styling updates of the Pro-4X, but with two-wheel drive. And the Frontier SV crew cab will offer either a 5.0- or a 6.1-foot bed; all other four-doors get the short box only.

We think the 2022 Frontier should achieve fuel economy ratings that are similar to its predecessor – 18 miles per gallon city, 24 highway, and 20 combined with two-wheel drive and 17 city, 23 highway, and 19 combined with four-wheel drive. However, nothing official has been announced regarding efficiency or pricing. On that front, we expect the new Frontier to offer a compelling balance of value and features, with prices rising only slightly from 2021. Plan on spending about $28,000 for a base, two-wheel-drive S King Cab, rising to $40,000 or so for a Pro-4X crew cab.

Download and run (double-click) the file 'CP2101 v6.0.exe' from the link above.

Follow the on-screen instructions, accepting all default options in the affirmative. This should install files in two locations.

Instrument Installation

First complete the USB Driver installation procedure above.

Disconnect the instrument from your PC, if applicable.

Connect the instrument to your PC and turn the power on.

Wait for any automatic system installation tasks to complete.

Open Device Manager (right-click (My) Computer > Manage > Device Manager).

Double-click the category 'Ports (COM & LPT)' to display:

Locate 'CP210x USB to UART Bridge Controller' or a similarly named device to verify successful installation.

This completes instrument installation.

Take note of the COM port number (COM5 in the example above). Assign this number in your instrument software, using the System command under the Setup menu, and then run the Hardware Test command under the Setup menu to confirm that the instrument and computer are communicating properly.

Driver Uninstallation

To uninstall any previously installed drivers, right-click on the device in Device Manager and click Uninstall. You may need to do this not only for the COM Port, but also a USB Composite Device. Ets informatics driver download for windows.

Right-click on the CP210x COM device in Device Manager and click Uninstall (check 'Delete the software driver for this device' when prompted).

If present, you will also need to do this for a 'Cygnal USB Composite Device' or 'CP210x USB Composite Device' under the Universal Serial Bus Controllers category as shown here.

To confirm that the USB driver is fully uninstalled, disconnect and reconnect the instrument to your computer and make sure that the CP210x device is now listed under Other devices as shown here. The Cygnal or CP210x composite device should also no longer be installed.

If at this point a COM port is still assigned, you may also need to uninstall the driver from Control Panel > Programs and Features and repeat the procedure above.

Rebooting your computer immediately after uninstalling drivers may also help, especially in Windows XP and earlier.

To use USB, the white switch on the instrument rear panel must be flipped toward the USB port. For older models without this switch, you may need to change a jumper setting instead.

The USB driver needs to be installed only once on your computer. Multiple instruments can be connected to the same computer, and Windows automatically assign them to different COM ports.

The COM port number assigned to your instrument may vary from computer to computer, or even on the same computer (rarely).

You can double-click on the 'CP210x USB to UART Bridge Controller' item in Device Manager to display various status information: driver version number, whether the driver is functioning correctly, etc.

USB communication is achieved using a USB-serial port converter chip built into the instrument; the driver for this chip, courtesy of Silicon Labs, is what is installed in this section.

As a result, the instrument software will behave as if this device is connected to a serial port, even though the physical connection is by USB. Thus, you need to use Device Manager as described above to determine what serial port number is assigned to this device.

USB communication therefore provides no specific advantages over a native serial port besides the difference in physical connectivity; if you have a free serial port available on your PC, we recommend its use over a USB port.

We include USB support because most computers sold today lack an onboard serial port, and it may be impractical or impossible to add a serial port card.

Silicon Labs' old 32-bit drivers from 2003 (version 4.16) have been thoroughly tested with our instruments and have been found to be very reliable. However, they are not compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows.

Silicon Labs' newer drivers (version 6.x) are 64-bit compatible, but unfortunately these newer drivers have been found to be unreliable on both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems when using slow baud rates (19.2K and lower). Whether they will work correctly on your computer will depend on your particular hardware. These are closed-source third-party drivers, over which CH Instruments, Inc. has no control. We apologize for any inconvenience and strongly recommend the use of driver version 4.16 on any 32-bit version of Windows, including Windows 7.

More recently, we have posted Silicon Labs' USB driver version 4.4 as an interim measure. Version 4.4 is compatible with 64-bit Windows, and does not seem to suffer from the slow baud rate problem mentioned above. However, we have only tested version 4.4 briefly, and we are unsure whether it is more reliable than 4.16 (which is 32-bit only). We do not intend version 4.4 to be a permanent replacement for version 6.x; Silicon Labs is aware of the 6.x issue and is working to resolve it.

Microsoft has only started requiring signed drivers in 64-bit Windows. Contrary to popular belief, however, 64-bit Windows only requires that a driver is signed with a verified certificate, which is not the same as having it vetted by Microsoft's WHQL program. Thus, the driver signing requirement does not necessarily increase stability or security, which is all we end users really care about. Case in point: Silicon Labs' driver 6.0 is WHQL-certified and thus does not elicit any 'untrusted publisher' warnings when installed; however, this driver is known to suffer from serious stability issues (BSOD on surprise removal). On the other hand, we signed Silicon Labs' version 4.4 with a simple (verified) Authenticode code signing certificate, bypassing WHQL entirely (but of course forfeiting any hope of obtaining the coveted 'Certified for Windows' logo). What this all means is that 64-bit Windows will allow you to install a driver if and only if somebody vouches for it, nothing more and nothing less. What is the link to the ETS ClickOnce website?

https://ets.fdic.gov/ets/. Within the loaded page is a button labeled Download ETS that begins the installation process.

When can I use the ETS ClickOnce website?

The site is available 365/24/7 unless scheduled maintenance briefly takes it offline.

What is ClickOnce?

Similar to Windows Update, ClickOnce is a Microsoft delivery mechanism used for deploying and updating software, in this case ETS. For ClickOnce deployments, the user is able to choose when to update from within their own context and has the ability to update without further set-up or administrative access. Technically, using ClickOnce also allows FDIC to more easily update and distribute the application, when needed.

What is ETS implementation strategy that incorporates ClickOnce?

FDIC owns ClickOnce as a part of their MSDN licenses. ETS uses this web based deployment with a simplified transport mechanism because of its diverse clients. The ETS package is automatic and self-updating at the users' discretion. ETS has the ability to rollback to a previous version if the version just installed is a minor release, and verifies the presence of the correct operating system, .NET 4 framework and Crystal Reports.

I'm having issues with the ETS SQL Server database. Are there any tools I can use to diagnose issues, and what settings should I be looking for?

Yes. There are two tools you can use:

SQL Server Configuration Manager and

SQL Server Management Studio

The user of ETS must be added as a user of the SQL Database in the format, domainlogin ID. If not done, the user will not be allowed to create or login to the ETS database in the FDIC2008 SQL Server Instance. To check and correct you must:

If not found, create an account for domainusername, and grant them dbcreator and bulkadmin roles

CLR must be enabled to run CLR stored procedures

If not, error message is: Execution of user code in the .NET Framework is disable. Enable 'clr enabled' configurations. Solution is to login as the SA in SQL Server Management Studio and enable CLR. You can also run a script, exec sp_configure 'clr_enable','1'

Updating ETS

How do I get updates to my ETS software?

ETS uses the ClickOnce update strategy which reads the ETS deployment manifest every time the user opens ETS. If an update is available, the user will be asked if they want to update ETS. If yes, the update will be downloaded and started. Otherwise, the current version starts.

There are two kinds of updates, minor or major. The minor updates might in include some bug fixes or updates, but functionality remains essentially the same. Here's the notice you would receive:

However, if a major update has functionality change or a module addition, the pop-up announces itself clearly, stating that a 'New version of ETS is available':

Should I make a backup of examinations that I currently have in ETS before updating?

Yes. Always make a backup of your examination(s) before updating ETS.

Should I always click 'OK' to update?

As a best practice, all members of the examination team should upgrade to receive all of the benefits from the new version. The update from previous versions of ETS can be performed without any interruption or negative impact to an examination currently in progress. All information and data from that current examination will be available after the update.

I just updated and need to rollback to the previous version. What can I do? How do I remove the new version of 'ETS', and 'rollback' to the previous version?

Go into Add/Remove programs or Programs->Uninstall a Program. Admin rights are not required to rollback ETS. Find and double click on the 'ETS' entry. If the popup box appears where both buttons are active:

Choose 'Restore the application to its previous state', and click OK, and you'll be back to where you were before the update.

This will only happen if the version you installed is a minor update. Otherwise, if the top choice isn't active, like below:

You've installed a major upgrade and you can't rollback.

How will ClickOnce handle database changes?

A ClickOnce package may contain both application code updates and database updates. On the recipient's PC, the ClickOnce package will install code updates and execute any included database scripts.

How will ClickOnce update other platforms?

ClickOnce is specifically configured for use on a 64 bit Windows 7 platform. Since Microsoft no longer supports Windows XP, we cannot guarantee the quality and/or functionality of ETS on a lower platform. Additionally, we have not yet begun testing on higher Windows platforms, but when applicable, we will update the information on this page.

How do I uninstall ETS?

Code in the ETS installation file adds ETS to the Add/Remove Programs listing. Admin rights are not required to uninstall ETS.

After you've made sure you've selected 'Remove the application from the computer' from either of the two popup boxes above, click 'OK'.

Will ETS work without an internet connection?

Yes, ETS by design is a stand-alone desktop application that does not require internet connectivity. However, many of the services that ETS relies on will not function unless it is connected to the FDIC network. There are various ways to work offline via aruba or other types of collaboration.
