This is the most common method of the two. Usually, the clean install process deletes the contents of the destination drive. Therefore, if you choose the startup drive method to perform the clean install of El Capitan Installer, you have to follow some extra steps as well.

First, you have to create a bootable USB flash drive that has the Installer of OS X El Capitan.

Then erase the startup drive.

After then, start the clean install process.

How to Create El Capitan Installer with USB?

Requirements

The USB flash drive must be at least 8GB

El Capitan Installer must be on the Mac PC’s Applications folder.

Process

Plug the USB drive into the Mac PC with the Installer of the El Capitan on it.

Hey guys, Here is a guide on 'How to install OS X 10.9 on a PC with a Gigabyte 990FXA Series Motherboard and AMD FX Series CPU'.

Ok so although this guide is intended for install on the above hardware it may or may not work on other hardware, It will most likely work on the UD3, UD5 and UD7 motherboards aswell as most modern Radeon HD Graphics.

Requirements

The following items will be required in order for this to work.

Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 (DVD or USB)

Niresh 10.9 (Torrent: http://www.niresh12495.com (it's the most downloaded file currently))

A USB Pen (Niresh - 10.9 - Mavericks USB Version.zip) or Dual Layer DVD+R (Niresh - 10.9 - Mavericks ISO Version.zip)

Access to both Windows and the Niresh Mavericks USB at the same time.

You need to take your time and be patient. Both windows and OS X take some time to install.

1 HDD that is able to be completely formatted (wipe partition table)

Note: you don't need Windows if you don't want to dual boot

Preparation

I am not going to cover how to write the DMG file to a USB pen or DVD and instead will just link you to http://www.macbreaker.com/2014/01/instal...iresh.html (Step 1a if your currently in OS X and 1b if your in Windows)

So once you have the Bootable USB/DVD with Niresh on it we are ready to begin.

We need to format the HDD with the partition type MBR (for some reason when i did this with windows it didn't work) to do this will shall boot to the Niresh USB/DVD and at the prompt highlight 'Niresh Mavericks' and simply type 'amdfx GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1 -v' and press 'Enter'.

If you don't plan on dual booting you can skip to 'Installing OS X 10.9'.

After a short time it should start booting to the OS X installer, Select your language and then in the menu bar Select Utilities > Disk Utilities > Select the HDD you want to use > Partition > 2 Partitions and then set the 1st as MS-DOS (FAT) name it 'Windows' and the 2nd as 'Mac OS Extended (Journaled)' name it 'Mavericks' now select 'Options' and make sure it's set to 'MBR (Master Boot Record)' then press 'Apply'

OK now the HDD is properly partitioned, We now move on to installing Windows.

Installing Windows 7, 8 or 8.1

This is installed just like normal, Except you need to make sure it doesn't install the UEFI version (make sure to select the non UEFI DVD/USB entry from the boot menu)

Once your at the install simply do a 'Custom Install' and then install windows to the 1st Partition it will need to be formated to NTFS via the format button below prior to being installed.

After the install is complete go through the standard welcome screen and post install setup and then we can move on to installing Niresh's OS X 10.9

And now we are on to the main event, Installing OS X.

Boot to the Niresh USB/DVD and then at the prompt highlight 'Niresh Mavericks' and simply type 'amdfx GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1 -v' and press 'Enter'

Now you should be back at the OS X install screen, This time we will actually install it, Follow the on screen wizard until you get to the HDD Select page then select the 'Mavericks' disk but DO NOT PRESS NEXT/INSTALL instead press 'Customize' and uncheck the option 'GraphicsEnabler' located under the 'Graphics' section.

Now you can begin the install. Press the install button and prepare to wait a while depending on your SSD/HDD.

Fixing A Few Issues With OS X

Ok now we have OS X and Windows installed but most likely booting OS X from the HDD won't work and instead you will need to use the USB/DVD.

So once again boot to the Niresh USB/DVD but then at the prompt highlight 'Mavericks' instead of 'Niresh Mavericks' enter ' 'Kernel Cache'=amd GraphicsEnabler=No PCIRootUID=1 -v ' note the quotes need to be entered around the words 'Kernel Cache'.

After a little while it should boot to OS X and ask you to enter various information for the welcome screen, After you have entered this you should be at either the 'Login Screen' or the 'Desktop'.

If your using the exact same card as mine you most likely are not running at native resolution and are instead forced to 1024x768, To fix this we need to modify 2 kext files, if your running at native resolution skip the step below.

Load up a Terminal (Search > Terminal) and then type 'sudo su' and enter admin password, Now type 'nano /System/Library/Extensions/AMD7000Controller.kext/Contents/Info.plist' and then find '68181002' and change it to your device and vendor ID (mine is 68191002) once done press 'Ctrl or Win + X' and then repeat the same change for '/System/Library/Extensions/AMDRadeonX4000.kext/Contents/Info.plist'.

Now the graphics is sorted provided your using a similar card to mine atleast, Now we can sort out issues with the bootloader on the HDD, Download 'Chameleon Wizard' then run it and select 'Boot0HFS' as the install mode and then press 'Install'.

Now reboot and you should be able to boot from the HDD and select the 'Mavericks' option, you may need to enter 'GraphicsEnabler=No' and '-v' is useful to see more detailed/verbose information.

Congratulations you are done sorting out OS X, The steps below are optional but highly recommended.

Updating the AMD Kernel and OS X

So you successfully got OS X working on your system, Now we should update OS X to the latest version (10.9.1 as of the time i was writing this) and the AMD Kernel to a newer and faster version.

Download the following file http://www.osx86.net/files/download/3736...4-support/ and extract it.

Next select 'Go' on the menu bar, and then 'Go to folder' and then '/', This will put you to the root of the OS X Partition, Now we need to replace the mach_kernel with the download mach_kernel file. Simply copy and paste and confirm the authentication.

Now we need to copy the downloaded 'System.kext' to '/System/Library/Extensions/', once this is done you will most likely get some errors don't panic!.

Now we load 'Kext Wizard' (installed with niresh) and select 'Repair' and 'Rebuild' under the '/System/Library/Extensions/'.

Once 'Kext Wizard' is done, Click the 'Apple icon' in the 'Menu Bar' and select 'Software Update' and 'Update All', This will take a little while, When asked to reboot say yes.

Now your system should reboot and you should be back at OS X at 10.9.1 instead of 10.9.0.

Running Windows 8 Inside OS X Using VMWare Fusion

Ok so, So far we have Windows and OS X installed to the same HDD on your PC, Now we will use the physical install of Windows inside of VMWare Fusion this will allow us to use Windows both inside of OS X and as a actual boot option.

Of Course this requires VMWare Fusion and this is a commercial piece of software therefore you will need to acquire VMWare Fusion prior to continuing.

Ok so now that you have acquired VMWare Fusion and installed it we can continue on to setting up the 'boot camp' partition.

Download Os X Mavericks Installer

Firstly we need to make sure that the windows partition is set to be the active partition, to do this we can load 'Terminal' > 'sudo su' > 'fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0' > 'f 1' > 'write' > 'y' > 'exit'.

Ok now it should have set the windows partition as the active partition, Now load up 'VMWare Fusion' and select 'More Options' and then 'Install from bootcamp' and then 'Create bootcamp virtual machine'.

Now the VM should be created and you should be able to simply start the VM and Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 should start and start the vmware tools install procedure. Now exit the VM and VMWare.

Now we need to restore the active partition back to OS X by doing the following load 'Terminal' > 'sudo su' > 'fdisk -e /dev/rdisk0' > 'f 2' > 'write' > 'y' > 'exit'.

And now we are done! click the 'unity' button in VMWare to integrate it even more. We now have VMWare with Windows + Windows as Dual Boot with OS X.

HOW CAN I READ & PRINT THE MUSIC SCORES PURCHASED?

How can I read the music scores purchased? To read the music scores purchased on your computer, you need an Internet access and you have to use the Guitar Pro software. High speed Internet access is strongly recommended for correct use of the mySongBook portal. You cannot edit, export or save the music scores purchased on mySongBook. The software environment allows you to use a great number of tools for playing and practicing music scores. You will easily be able to play the scores at various speeds (adjustable tempo), mute some tracks, loop a selection and make it play increasingly faster, use the metronome, and display various kinds of notation (standard, tablature, and slash). I've got the Monthly Subscription, what can I do with my purchase? With the monthly subscription, you can read on your computer and on the Guitar Pro App for iOS all the music scores available on mySongBook. You will not be able to read your music scores in the Guitar Pro App for Android. I've bought a single tab or a songbook, what can I do with my purchase? With the single buying, you can print and read the music scores purchased on your computer but also with the Guitar Pro App available for iOS and Android.

, but it enjoyed growing success, and afterseveral performances it turned into a triumph. The Teatro Valle, a rivaltheatre in Rome, offered a contract to Rossini for an opera buffa to bestaged the following season: Rossini accepted, then returned to Napleswhere he had his primary engagement with the Teatro San Carlo.

His fulltime contract with Naples allowed Rossini to work for other cities,but he had to arrange these performances on very short time schedules.In December 1816 he went to Rome to write and prepare the new opera.The theatre proposed a libretto by Rossi, on the subject ofFrancesca di Foix (a subject later set to music byDonizetti in 1831), but thecensor vetoed it, a major setback because of the extremely short timeavailable. The theatre manager asked the librettist Jacopo Ferrettito help. Ferretti later wrote a detailed report of the creation of thisnew work (see the complete Italian text):

Two days before Christmas Day of the year 1816 I was invited by thetheatre manager Cartoni and Maestro Rossini for a meeting with theVatican censor. (..) (The existing libretto) could not be modified ina suitable way, so they begged me to find another subject and write anew libretto on the spot. I said «they begged», and so it was,because there were bad feelings between me and Rossini, due to a littlewrong he had previously done me.

(Rossini had refused a libretto by Ferretti the year before,preferring Cesare Sterbini's version of the Barbiere.)Ferretti, however, did not refuse this new opportunity to have a librettoset to music by Rossini: they all went to Cartoni's house 'for tea'and Ferretti began to suggest many subjects.

I proposed some twenty or thirty subjects. But one was too dramatic forthe carnival season, another too tricky, another required an expensivestaging or did not suit the singers (..). Sick of proposals and nearlyprostrate with weariness, I yawned: 'Cinderella'. Rossini, in order toconcentrate, was lying on his bed. He abruptly stood up likeAlighieri's Farinata and said: «Would you have the heart for writingme a 'Cinderella'?» - I replied «And you for setting it to music?», and he asked «when would the draft be ready ?»;and I: «despite my sleepiness, tomorrow morning!»; and Rossini:«good night!»: he wrapped himself in the sheets and fell asleep(..)

Ferretti discussed the financial aspects with a relieved Cartoni, thenwent home and wrote his first draft. Rossini was satisfied with it,but insisted on stripping all magical elements from the plot. Perrault'sfairy tale was the primary source, but it is easy to recognizethe influence of the then-famous Neapolitan opera buffa La Cecchina,ossia La buona figliola, by Piccinni on Goldoni's libretto.Piccinni's work is often cited as a milestone in the development ofopera buffa, and it was a source of inspiration for many other works:the latest of them (before Cenerentola) was Stefano Pavesi'sAgatina, o La virtù premiata (Milan, 1814), on a librettoby Francesco Fiorini. Pavesi's work must have been well-known to Rossini,for it was staged at the Teatro alla Scala in the same season as hisTurco in Italia and Sigismondo.In addition, Nicholas Isouard's opera Cendrillon, staged in Parisin 1810, on a libretto by Charles-Guillaume Étienne, must have beenknown to both Rossini and Ferretti, having been a major success inFrench theaters.

La Cenerentola did suffer some trouble when staged in Frenchtheaters. The substantial differences from Perrault's fairy tale, as wellas the popularity of Isouard's competing version of the same subject,led the French critics to be negatively disposed . Of course thefavourite argument of its opponents was the 'betrayal' of Perrault'sideas. An article in a Paris' paper (Journal des débats,10 June 1822), criticizes the libretto for the substitution of a braceletfor Cinderella's shoe, jesting that the substitution might have beenmade for a prima donna with a beautiful arm and ugly feet.Gertrude Righetti Giorgi, for whom the opera had been written, was notamused, and displayed her stage temper in an open letter to the press:

'You miserable people who soil paper to earn undeserved attention fromyour readers! On Roman stages, it is not permitted to display the same situations that are seen in France. It seemed that decency might be offendedby displaying a slipper, and since it was a musical comedy it was easyto substitute a bracelet. But Sig. Parisian Journalist should not thinkthat I say this to defend my feet: he does not know me, and if he didhe might say that I have more to gain by adopting the original slipperthan by clinging to the bracelet.'(Italian Text)

Since Python 3.4, pathlib has been included in the Python standard library. Path objects provide a simple and delightful way to interact with the file system. The pandas-path package enables the Path API for pandas through a custom accessor.path.Getting just the filenames from a series of full file paths is as simple as myfiles.path.name. Dask uses existing Python APIs and data structures to make it easy to switch between NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn to their Dask-powered equivalents. One of the essential pieces of NumPy is the ability to perform quick element-wise operations, both with basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.) and with more sophisticated operations (trigonometric functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, etc.).Pandas inherits much of this functionality from NumPy, and the ufuncs that we introduced in Computation on NumPy Arrays: Universal Functions are key to this.

Pandas includes a couple useful twists, however: for unary operations like negation and trigonometric functions, these ufuncs will preserve index and column labels in the output, and for binary operations such as addition and multiplication, Pandas will automatically align indices when passing the objects to the ufunc.This means that keeping the context of data and combining data from different sources–both potentially error-prone tasks with raw NumPy arrays–become essentially foolproof ones with Pandas.We will additionally see that there are well-defined operations between one-dimensional Series structures and two-dimensional DataFrame structures.

Ufuncs: Index Preservation¶

Because Pandas is designed to work with NumPy, any NumPy ufunc will work on Pandas Series and DataFrame objects.Let's start by defining a simple Series and DataFrame on which to demonstrate this:

For binary operations on two Series or DataFrame objects, Pandas will align indices in the process of performing the operation.This is very convenient when working with incomplete data, as we'll see in some of the examples that follow.

Index alignment in Series¶

As an example, suppose we are combining two different data sources, and find only the top three US states by area and the top three US states by population:

Any item for which one or the other does not have an entry is marked with NaN, or 'Not a Number,' which is how Pandas marks missing data (see further discussion of missing data in Handling Missing Data).This index matching is implemented this way for any of Python's built-in arithmetic expressions; any missing values are filled in with NaN by default:

Index alignment in DataFrame¶

A similar type of alignment takes place for both columns and indices when performing operations on DataFrames:

Ufuncs: Operations Between DataFrame and Series¶

When performing operations between a DataFrame and a Series, the index and column alignment is similarly maintained.Operations between a DataFrame and a Series are similar to operations between a two-dimensional and one-dimensional NumPy array.Consider one common operation, where we find the difference of a two-dimensional array and one of its rows:

According to NumPy's broadcasting rules (see Computation on Arrays: Broadcasting), subtraction between a two-dimensional array and one of its rows is applied row-wise.

In Pandas, the convention similarly operates row-wise by default:

If you would instead like to operate column-wise, you can use the object methods mentioned earlier, while specifying the axis keyword:

Note that these DataFrame/Series operations, like the operations discussed above, will automatically align indices between the two elements:

This preservation and alignment of indices and columns means that operations on data in Pandas will always maintain the data context, which prevents the types of silly errors that might come up when working with heterogeneous and/or misaligned data in raw NumPy arrays.

Display pandas dataframes clearly and interactively in a web app using Flask.

Web apps are a great way to show your data to a larger audience. Simple tables can be a good place to start. Imagine we want to list all the details of local surfers, split by gender. This translates to a couple of pandas dataframes to display, such as the dataframe females below.

Transforming dataframes into html tables

Using the pandas function to_html we can transform a pandas dataframe into a html table. All tables have the class dataframe by default. We can add on more classes using the classes parameter. For example, writing

results in a html table with the classes dataframe female as shown below.

Prepare the file structure for flask app

The simple_tables directory will contains all the scripts, css and html needed for the web app to run. The script site_tables.py will sit in this directory, and from here we will run the app and populate the app’s pages. Any html templates must be stored in the templates directory. Any css sheets must be within the static directory.

Below is the file structure I have used for this surfing example.

Create a flask app that pulls the dataframes

We can create a page on our web app called tables. Every time this page loads, we pull the data, filter and format to get two dataframes, females and males.

The dataframes are then transformed into html tables with classes dataframe female and dataframe male respectively. These html tables are sent as a list to the template view.html, which is stored in the templates directory. We also send a list of titles to use as a heading for each table.

Running the app using debug=True allows the app to auto-update every time the code gets edited.

Define the html template using jinja2

The html template view.html pulls css from the style sheet style.css in the static directory. We will check out the css in the next section.

Next, the jinja2 language allows us to loop through the html table list tables. Using loop.index provides the index of the loop. This starts from 1 so we need to convert between python list indices and those for jinja2 loops. Then we can pull out the correct title for each table.

For each table in the list, the table title is shown, and then the table itself. safe tells jinja2 to show this parameter as a html object.

Style the tables with css

We can use the following styling to make the tables a bit more pretty. The classes male and female have been defined with different header colours. This enables us to highlight different groups of tabled data from the initial site_tables.py script.

Some nice touches include using tr:nth-child(odd) and tr:nth-child(even) to have alternate row colours. Also tr:hover gives an interactive feel to the tables.

Step 1 - Draw a Circle and a Cross

We'll first draw a circle with two intersecting lines that connect directly in the center. The circle represents the top portion of the head. We'll use the intersecting lines to determine the locations of the facial features.

Now we have the basic structure of the shape of the face in place. We'll next locate the eyes. We can use the height of the head to help us determine the location of the eyes on the face. The eyes are generally found on a line in the center of the head.

The brow line is represented by the center line that we drew in step one. So we know that the eyes should be found just below this line, in the center of the head. We can draw a line here for the 'eye line'.

Step 5 - Draw the Eyes

Now that we know where our eyes are located on the face, we can draw them. There's another measurement to keep in mind. We also should consider the width of the eyes. The width of the head, from ear to ear, generally measures the same length of five 'eyes'. This means that if we want to draw the eyes with accurate proportions, then we need to draw them so that they match this approximate measurement.

Step 6 - Locate and Draw the Nose

Moving down the face, we'll next draw the nose. The bottom of the nose can be found on the bottom line of the square that we drew in step two. The width of the nose varies from person to person, but is generally as wide as the inside corners of the eyes.

It may be helpful to draw two light lines down from the inside corners of the eyes to help you find the width of the nose.

Step 7 - Locate and Draw the Mouth

We find the mouth slightly higher than half-way between the bottom of the nose and the chin. Of course, this measurement varies from person to person. We can draw a line to mark the positioning of the mouth.

We can use the eyes to help us determine the width of the mouth. The corners of the mouth generally align with the inside edges of the pupils. It may be helpful to draw light lines from the pupils to the 'mouth line'.

Step 8 - Draw the Ears

Next, we'll draw the ears. Here again, we can use the locations of the features of the face to help us determine the location of the ears. The top of the ears will generally align with the brow line, while the bottom of the ears align with the nose line.

Keep in mind that the ears come out of the head and extend upward slightly. This means that the ears will extend outward from the head, near the eye line.

Step 9 - Draw the Hairline

Now we'll draw the hairline. If you're drawing someone that has long hair that overlaps the forehead, the hairline may not be visible, but it's still important to know where it's located. The hairline is found on the top edge of the square that we drew in step two.

Step 10 - Draw the Hair

Now that we have the hairline in place, we can draw the hair. Shorter hair extends only slightly off of the top of the head, while longer or bushier hair may extend quite a bit. In both cases, however, the hair extends out from the head and should not be drawn directly on the head.

Step 11 - Add the Neck

Now we need to add a neck to our floating head. The tendency of most beginning artists is to make the neck too narrow. Generally speaking, the neck extends down from the bottom of the ears. Female necks are slightly more slender, while the necks of males are broader.

To draw the neck, we'll simply extend two lines down from the bottom of the ears.
