"Not while they're still alive; that's just. . .some mad scientist shit." Another small stitch, and she least has the wound somewhat closed up enough that his body could handle the rest, hands shifting to rummage through her bag beside her. Shifting past the stake, some varying herbs, such similar silver bullets to withdraw a small flask, opening it and sniffing the contents within it before handing it over to him. Had to make sure it wasn't the holy water, or the moonshine that was made specifically under a full moon.

"Some whiskey in there."

“If you came across a species y’ barely got any record on, wouldn’t you wanna see what makes it tick? Granted--” And he stopped to groan as he moved to point to the still exposed bits of would like that was going to say something. “I’d hope you got more humanity than these fucks. And yeah, to clean. That wasn’t... exactly correct, but he trusted she knew what he meant with that. Hopefully. For now, he was just going to keep staring at the same old hole in the ceiling. And... maybe pray it’d stop moving.

". . .As a hunter, I get why they packed up the bucks, but it's the fact it's you they hurt. . ." She hasn't found herself being so protective beyond her brother, or a hunting partner. Suppose it's been the more time spent around Manny that maybe she's actually starting to care for him in some capacity, like he's family to her.

"Bottle to clean, drink or both? I probably got somethin' in my kit. . .why the hell they wanna study you?"

“Relax, kid... only half of this blood’s mine.” There’s a distinct discomfort in the flesh peeling itself together, not a sensation Manny was sure he’d ever get used to—but then there were the parts that seemed to struggle. Lingering silver traces since she got the chunks out, if he had to guess. Couldn’t be helped. 

They really did want to torture him... 

“If they packed more in the bucks, I’d finally be dead. I’m unlucky that I’m one of two they can bring back alive t’ study.” Didn’t stop the way his vision swam though, and he shook his head. “Mn... y’ got a bottle to wash this with?”

There’s a genuine curiosity to his knowledge of recent events that have been occurring around town; more and more deceased found in dark alleyways, a lot more brutalized than what some hunters were suspecting too simply to be some starving vampire. It’s something more, something bigger she suspects - and sometimes, when there's uncertainty, it’s best to ask someone who might know more than even she might.

A brow rises as she steps into the home, careful to follow him into what she assumes to be a sort of sitting room.

“That’s been my thought, but no one wants to believe me. I think it’s something a lot bigger than a vampire; figured if maybe anyone might know, it would be you.”

mutilated, half-eaten corpses were inconvenient when armand preferred hunters to not bring their accusatory stares to his door. he appreciated a wide berth from most, but upon seeing theo, he can't determine if she's genuinely curious about his opinion or if she thinks that he's had something to do with it.

hunters could make wild assumptions. but he was a blood-drinker, he had no interest in eating their flesh. it was pointless. he pushes the front door open wider to let her through before turning to retreat back towards the sitting room, expecting her to follow.
