many people seem to have the sentiment that elliot should have been more accommodating to harleys behavioral issues but also like, this happened in the 60s-70s. going to therapy was taboo and any mental issues were seen as a personality flaw. the letter elliot send just sounds more like: "if youre feeling depressed have you tried not being sad?" because mind you this man was born in the early 1900s 😭

im kinda stumped rn because my original plan for my fic was to have both leith and harley in the YGP but now im thinking that it doesnt make much sense for leith to be there. but i already have it all planned out in a specific way and i really dont wanna change it so idsfkjsd.

theres no canon explanation for what they did in the YGP so im choosing to believe that they had something related to... idk philosophy and leith can be there too fuck it

the way you have harley who is usually portrayed as this very scary and chilling figure and for some god forsaken reason leith is the only one who gets under his skin simply just for existing. maybe its the way leith carries himself, like the both of them have big egos and can be very smug in certain situations and that angers harley because he found someone who matches his freak and that hurts his individuality complex </3
