Yeah I definitely cooked with these I'm ngl! Based off one of my favorite fics 'I'll Be What You're Falling On' by @/prissyplastique here and on AO3 (fair warning it IS smutty and gets a little sad at the end) these were really fun to draw! I had planned a third piece that makes the story kind of a Cinderella thing where Hector dons a beautiful and intricate mask he makes to attend a ball intended for the princess to find a suitor and he sweeps her off her feet...I still might, but I got impatient lol 😂 and a little design note, I'm not great at drawing flowers but the flowers in the portrait and the vases in the first drawing are meant to be red gardenias which symbolize a passionate but secret love!

I love characters that have never been loved before experiencing it for the first time. They're taken aback by softness. They're confused by warm words and being cared for. They're almost scared by the loving way they're looked at. Fleeting tender touches send them reeling. Their heart almost feel like it's going to burst. What does it mean? All they know is they don't feel as though they deserve that, even if they reciprocate. It's been proven time again that they're unlovable and yet...

Bwaaahhh at work rn and I've been thinking all day about just. idly playing with Hector's hands...maybe when he has them sticking through the grate or after he reveals himself and we're sitting together in comfortable silence. Tracing the lines on his palms, slowly curling and uncurling his fingers one by one, gently massaging his knuckles...just admiring how beautiful they are

0/823 FOR OCTOBER'S RENT

hi whole post was messy my how things changed in one month's time. fascinating. anyway. my mom died 07/07. so, well! on the one hand, i'm. well. clearly not desperate to move away from her now, huh? on the other hand, i'd been so focused on getting her into an LTC facility with the help of hospice that i hadn't even processed the possibility she was gonna fucking die before that happened. and this is. very bad timing. i don't even have the money to get her cremated like she wanted, lol.

the whole reason i work part time right now is because i had to scale back from full time work to take care of her (being disabled, working full time, and caring for a dementia patient led to me having a full on psychotic break in 2021). i owe a shit ton of doctors money right now because i was focusing on my own health + RENT RENT RENT. i'm okay /right now/ but i'm going to need help in the future. rent is 823$ a month. i'm trying to prepare ahead before i wake up one day and find myself staring down a deadline. august is paid for. i can handle september. after that, i don't know because i have regular bills, 4 shifts in a 3 week period, and am gonna have to cut into the rent money for those bills.
