I’m gonna be an asshole about this but yeah, I need to put my foot down. 

If you push your headcanons on a mun regarding their muse, I’m not going to be nice about it. I understand there are fandom interpretations of certain characters, and that’s fine, but I consider roleplay to be similar to acting - each interpretation is different, and based on the mun’s views of the character. So the mun is entitled to have their OWN headcanons (that many have likely PAINSTAKINGLY CONSTRUCTED) that they will use to craft their interpretation. These include headcanons about a character’s sexuality, race, and personal experiences - and the list goes on. Sometimes, even canon is not kind to its characters, and we as roleplayers want to experiment with different possibilities. So…

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON’T DISREGARD THAT. IT’S GOING TO LOOK BAD ON YOU AS A ROLEPLAYER AND ALSO MAKE THE OTHER MUN NOT WANT TO ROLEPLAY WITH YOU.

In other words, don’t assume that a mun agrees with your view of a character; especially if it’s THEIR character, because they might not, and it’s a bit rude to assume otherwise. It proves that you did not read their bio, or at least skim it. 

Every roleplayer knows that canon characters have a specific characterization in their canon, but this is not necessarily something that every person who consumes that piece of media (and wants to roleplay the character) agrees with. 

Fanon interpretation does not necessarily equal canon, just as neither fanon nor canon can equal a roleplayer’s interpretation. THIS IS UP TO THE ROLEPLAYER TO DECIDE FOR THEIR INTERPRETATION, NOT YOU.

Please respect that.

          “Case by case situation. Sometimes it’s better if I don’t see the guys that I let fuck me… but that’s not in a kinky way. I guess I’d go with both in a situation where I can trust my partner and he knows what he’s doing. Which is rare enough.”

Quartz: A dangerous partner or sex in a risky location?

          “Both is tempting… but I’d go with risky location. Since you need someone who is just as risk loving for it too…”

Shaun had been focused on paper work, going through progress reports and numbers. Trying to figure out how to make everyone happy, to keep any revolts from happening while also not waste resources. A difficult thing, really. After all, every department demanded different things, and he could not go against the wishes of either.

The door opened, and he looks up, slightly startled since he had forgotten to look at a time counter in a while. (they did not count hours and days like most people. Without sun and moon, there were no day and night shifts. So they all created their own rhythm.) Brown eyes focus on the guest or rather prisoner for a moment before looking at the courser. A sigh follows, and elegant fingers close the file before him to fold his hands above the red Top Secret stamp.

          “Thank you for bringing him here... and remember, this is an exception. Do not bring all of them into my office. That is usually Justin Ayo’s job.”

His voice strict, but still friendly at the same time. A weird, nearly uncanny balance.

           “You may leave now...” Shaun says, raising a hand to point towards the door, and as the courser tries to yank Nick with him Shaun shakes his head.

          “No, he stays.”

“Father, with all due respect he might be dangero-...”

A pop is heard from another part of the room, lounging on a white couch a slender, in black dressed Asian woman was reading a book and her bubble gum had just plopped. 

“I’m here, no way that guy could harm Shaun... now go, I’ll do my job you do yours. Shush, shush...” she said, grinned and waved the coursers off. Which still were rather confused. but decided to follow the order from Father, and his bodyguard.

S1 returned to her lecture while Shaun sighed, wondering where he had gone wrong with her, before giving all his attention to Nick.

          “I heard of you. The reason I decided to talk first with you before I decide what to do with you. You are truly an interesting case...”

             The Institute was..well it was amazing. 

             He may not be there by his own will but Nick practically pressed himself against the glass of the elevator as it descended. There were bushes..and TREES. His courser escort yanked him back by his collar with a muttered ‘restrain yourself synth’. Several comments danced on Nick’s tongue but he thought better of poking the bear. 

             When the elevator stopped Nick was whisked out of it and brought up a few flights of stairs to one of the largest offices Nick had seen. In it was a man who seemed to be in his late twenties early thirties. The courser thrust Nick forward as he addressed the man. 

             ❝Father, I have successfully captured a runaway synth. This is A2-02, he has been missing for quite some, over a century to be exact. Given the unusual circumstances I wanted to see-❞

             ❝My name’s Nick Valentine,❞ the detective cut in. Hearing his old model number was too disturbing for him to remain silent. Why it bothered him so much? He didn’t really know.  

             The courser cocked it’s head, ❝Beg your pardon?❞

             ❝I said I gotta name. It’s Nick Valentine, don’t go calling me by a model number like I’m some sort of toaster you’re tryin’ to sell..❞  He drew himself up to his new found height of 6′, ❝Now is there a reason you had me dragged down here?❞

I'm gonna guess that you don't ship with female muses?

Not on this blog no. But on @superiiorisms I do :) Usually most if not all my muses are bi/pan (romantic at least) but Shaun somehow developed with being mainly into guys. Buuut I love friendships and so on with female muses (male muses too like… brotps are best )
