shizuo’s   not   an   idiot   .   .   .   he   might   not   have   full   comprehension   on   some   subjects   ;   the   basis   of   all   of   his   knowledge   doesn’t   fit   the   criteria   of   society’s   so   smoothly   ,   but   he’s   not   stupid.   it’s   the   waver   in   her   voice   ,   the   shakiness   of   her   composure   ,   disoriented   and   unsettling   when   she   speaks   to   him   ;   it’s   not   okay.      ‘   ‘            ━━━      you’re   not   fine.      ’   ’      his   own   tone   steadfast   ,   yet   there’s   no   usual   anger   ,   not   a   hint   of   frustration   marring   his   speech.   strange   ,   perhaps   ,   in   the   grand   scheme   of   things   ,   of   who   he   is   ,   but   he’s   never   bothered   to   care   about   the   constant   fluctuation   of   his   own   attitude.

i just want to say thanks for all the interest in this big dumb man despite me literally never being on him. the fact that there’s still people following me and the amount i have is wild ! but because this blog and my dash are messy , i’m going to be doing a few replies and then just remaking him just for my own sanity !

      now that his rapid heartbeat had settled down  ,  he had finally been able to get his point across  .  unlike the last time  .  he was so certain his very life would end that day by the hand of the strongest man in ‘bukuro  .  appearances could be quite deceiving  ,  however .  especially in a city such as this where so much happens on an almost daily basis  .  masaomi is well aware of this fact  .  the younger blond is lively by nature  .  criminally animated at his core  .  the polar opposite of the man in the bartender get up  .  since getting to know shizuo better he’s been able to see him in a whole different light    &    he’s gotta say  ,  he’s rather fond  .

                              he’s    more    of    a    kid    than    he    acts    like.    it’s    not    a    stunning    realization    ;    the    type    that    hits    shizuo    all    at    once    but    a    gradual    understanding    to    bring    himself    to.    it’s    within    masaomi’s    movements    ,    almost    like    he’s    afraid    of    himself    and    every    word    that    comes    out    of    his    mouth.    maybe    he    doesn’t    realize    it        -        the    idea    of    knowing    more    about    your    true    self    than    you    could    possible    let    on    is    a    hard    pill    to    swallow    for    anyone    and    shizuo    knows    that    more    than    he    cares    to    admit.    

                          but     he    doesn’t    say    anything.    he    doesn’t    remark    the    inconsistencies    in    how    masaomi    holds    himself    or    the    words    that    he    says.    there’s    a    familiarity    that    shizuo    can’t    place    .    .    .    like    something    far    too    close    to    what    he    thinks    about    the    way    the    world    works    but    figuring    it    out    seems    like    a    bigger    headache    than    what    it’s    worth.    he    doesn’t    mean    to    scare    the    kid    ━    though    he    never    quite    means    to    scare    anyone    ,    it    just    happens    ━    but    the    idea    of    the    praise    that    falls    out    of    his    mouth    is    bewildering.    something    he    often    doesn’t    hear.    even    the    following    mention    of    that    flea    does    nothing    to    bring    his    look    of    surprise    short.    a    sigh    worms    its    way    out    ,    trying    hard    to    keep    an    air    of    exasperation    out    of    his    expression    before    he    speaks.        ‘            ━        stop    apologizin’    for    things    you    don’t    need    to    apologize    for.        ’        it’s    not    upsetting    when    he    says    it    ,    there’s    no    need    for    annoyance    where    it’s    not    warranted    but    the    idea    that    this    kid    keeps    saying    sorry    ,    sorry    ,    sorry    like    a    second    nature    irks    him.    it    makes    it    easier    to    not    turn    down    his    offer    ,    like    a    strange    extension    of    friendship    that    shizuo    can’t    ignore    for    some    reason.            ‘            fine    .    .    .    but    you’re    payin’    for    bein’    so    annoyin’    ,    y’know.        ’
