♥︎;; random thoughts I have about Kira’s Genshin verse!! May change in the future, but here are some abstract ideas~~

Kira isn’t actually sure when/how she got her vision.?? She was really young and just woke up one morning and felt a cold orb nestled close to her. It was the prettiest thing she had ever seen, and somehow it was hers.

Her “adoptive parents” didn’t want her to have it. They probably knew it was a vision and kept taking it from her, telling her that she stole it when she didn’t. She would cry, as that orb was her only friend, only to have it magically return to her every morning.

She didn’t know it was a vision or that it was magic until years later when she was 13. Her “adoptive father” found the orb after she hid it for a few years and tried to take it from her, but she refused to let him have it. It was out in the rain, and so when she accidentally used the vision’s power... she froze him.

So she fucking panicked XDD SHE THOUGHT SHE KILLED HIM WITH MAGIC, WHICH SHE DIDNT KNOW EXISTED... part of her hated the orb but she didn’t want to get rid of it, so she took it with her and ran. The knights soon found her and took the little girl in, and she’s kinda been there ever since (like Bennett).

It was amazing to her to meet other people with orbs like hers that could USE them, and use them for good. So, she wanted to become a knight. However, she had no fighting experience so she helped out in the library (maybe with young Lisa..?). The librarian before Lisa taught her to read and write, and she found out that she loved learning and spells.

She studied swordplay in secret, hoping she’s soon be able to actually go on missions, like Noelle. But she’s been “in the knights” for 12 years now and still hasn’t gotten to do much but be Lisa’s helper.

I’m thinking her elemental burst involves her creating a sword made of ice and attacking with it.

Her big elemental power (can’t remember the term LOL) involves her creating a snow/hail storm that applies Cryo damage to enemies as well as make the surrounding area so thick with falling snow/hail that monsters can’t see her and thus can’t attack until the storm ends. Thought of this during the winter storm in Texas LOL!! (Still may change, tho)

Lia is her best friend (THEY ARENT RELATED IN THIS VERSE AND ARE MORE LIKE SISTER FIGURES), and her roommate. She admires Jean, is kind of unsure about Kaeya, works for Lisa, and enjoys talking to Amber.

She uses a catalyst, of course XDD save for that one ice sword move ig LOL

“Either you don’t have any friends or they are super boring.” Phantasos sighed at how sad both situations were. Having no friends or boring friends, what a loss.

“Preparing for what then? You said you are not hunting so if you are not preparing for a hunt, then what are you preparing for?”

She watched as the demon went back to looking through her bag. She could tell that she seemed to look nervous.

“I don’t need anything. I was just in the area and noticed you were here. I am here because I am simply bored!~”

So this woman was here for no reason other than to bother Kira..?? A sigh escaped the young demonic demon slayer before she blew a strand of hair from her eyes in an annoyed fashion. She was hoping to maybe get some rest tonight... clearly that wasn’t going to happen.

“Preparing to walk all night” Kira responded, not bothering to look up from her bag. She was grossly underestimating this woman and her power... seeing her more as a nuisance than a threat, it was clear that she wasn’t paying this strange woman any mind.

“I will have to cover a lot of ground tomorrow if I plan on reaching the next town come dawn.” It was much more convenient to stay at a town during the day rather than a cave, after all.

“Yes…” It would seem so from what Kira said. “I hope the specters are only working with the lone demons. The last thing we want is Muzan and the specters teaming up together but there is no way of knowing this… I will have to look further into this. Next time, I see a specter, I will try to interrogate him or her.” Although, he was not good at interrogation at all…

Regulus nodded. Yes, It would be best if they find shelter as soon as possible. There was still some more they needed to talk about including the specter and demons working together.

“I don’t know, it could be possible but just very hard since the specters are generally stronger than the demons. As for me, so far, I was able to defeat the demons with my abilities. It is a little hard since I am not allowed to use my full power in this world unless I am fighting a specter. But we should definitely go find shelter first so we can rest and talk more. I see a small cave ahead of us.”

Regulus pointed at the cave that could be seen ahead of them.

A quick nod was given in response when Regulus pointed to the cave nearby. Good... they should be fine if they start heading in that direction. Kira glanced at Regulus as she began to head that way... so much she had just learned about him, and Kira couldn’t tell if there was more he wasn’t saying... nor how much he was keeping from her. Could she trust him..??

Yes. He was trustworthy... Kira could sense it. Genuine and wishing to help humanity. Wasn’t that exactly what Kira wanted? Perhaps she was making a mistake with trusting this stranger who had already kept so much from her...or, perhaps, this will be the only way to save humankind and this world.

“Depending on the demon, I can usually defeat one with ease,” Kira explained as she motioned to her two swords. “I can take care of demons while you focus on the specters. Perhaps it would be easier for me to fight one of your enemies if I could access my demon blood art...” She sighed. How annoying...

“Perhaps don’t sound like a villain in some movie.??”

She sighs; always with the fighting...

“It doesn’t matter... I’m happy to see you, Light.” She gives him a peck on the cheek.

After he was finished, he left and quietly sat down. He could not look at the boggart instead choosing to look at Kira. He tried to forget what he saw but he couldn’t as he saw how nervous Kira was. Her nervous look remind him of what she saw, seeing her dead body… But it also made him wondered if she was nervous because of what happened to him or due to her own fears. When Kira was in front of the boggart, it jumped back to the wardrobe and then reappeared as a middle-aged man. He looked like any ordinary man but looking at the man’s expression and Kira’s expression, he could tell that she was afraid of him. Not only that, he was holding a whip. Was he going to hurt her? Without thinking, he rushed over to Kira’s side and was almost about to hit the “man” to protect his friend. However, he remembered that this was not real and it was a Boggart taking the form of Kira’s fear. He did what Kira did to him and remind her that this was not real. He stood behind her and firmly grabbed Kira’s shoulders.

“It is okay, Kira. I will protect you but you need to remember what you told me. Remember this is not real! This is just the boggart!”

A quick scream escaped the young witch’s lips when her shoulder’s were firmly grasped--while in any other instance the touch would seem friendly and caring, here made her feel like she was being grabbed and held in place to face what she deserved. Her punishment... 

“Let me...go.!!” she cried out as she struggled against her friend’s hold. If it weren’t for him supporting her, she most likely would have fallen onto the ground by now. She struggled and struggled as she gasped air before finally turning around and burying her small form in Regulus’s chest.

She squeezed her eyes tight, trembling as she crossed her arms close to her chest. Kira was petrified in fear...just what could have happened to her to make her this afraid..?

“……lost?” Rhen almost tilted her head to the side in confusion, before she probably realized this woman wasn’t from around there, even if she looked like she was from the city. Pausing to guide an adventurer in the direction of Dragonspine- nodding after that and turning to her.

“I’m…… not lost, ma’am….” She nodded, adjusting her scarf and rocking on her heels, bow in hand as she continued, “I’m….. working…..” Well that much was true but she was also headed towards the dreaded Dragonspine- cold and dangerous, but she needed to guide those who had gone up the mountains back home no matter how scared she’d be of the frigid weather.

Instead, Rhen turned on her feet and continued walking to the Adventurer’s camp outside the mountain, pointing to the mass looming in the distance with her bow and continuing, “……too dangerous for…… anyone who doesn’t know what’s there……I also……look for mama up there….. too…”

A confused look crossed Kira’s face until she realized the girl was carrying a bow... not to mention that she had a pyro vision on her. The young mage must have underestimated her.! And it made her a bit flustered from embarrassment...

“O-Oh.! I’m so sorry, I just assumed...” How embarrassing... Kira felt rather awful for underestimating her. After all, anyone with a vision is very strong and worth recognition. Wait... did she mention looking for her mother? Kira knew just how dangerous Dragonspine was... if someone had gotten lost in there, they most certainly weren’t alive anymore. Perhaps frozen... perhaps long deceased. It worried Kira to know this girl may be searching for a woman who was long gone...

“My friend is from Dragonspine... I’ve been there a only few times myself, but perhaps I could aid you in your search for your mother.?” She couldn’t help but be concerned... which would be worse, the dangers of Dragonspine or this poor girl realizing her mother was no more? “My name is Kira, by the way. I’m in the Adventurer’s guild.”

And Ranpo but at the moment he was in a different city for a case. Not only that, Ranpo didn’t like people thinking he didn’t have an ability.

“Not everyone. There is Ranpo, he is an excellent detective but he is in another city at the moment solving a case. There is also the President but he is in a meeting with some government officials.”

As for everyone else, he was going to keep it a secret for now.

“But I am glad to hear that you like it so far. It is important to get along with each other to complete any tasks with efficiency.”

“Kunikida,” Tanizaki spoke out and gave Kunikia a folder. It was a new mission or to be exact it was Kira’s “entrance exam”.

“Thank you, Tanizaki.” Tanizaki nodded and left, leaving the two alone. “This is the new case that came in. Since it is your first day, you will be accompanying me to complete this case. I have already read it. Here.”

He gave the file to Kira to read. It seemed quite simple. A client’s home was broken in and they were going to go there to investigate and talk to the client. Apparently, an important necklace was stolen from him. That was what was written in the file.

The real situation was more complicated than that. They were using Regulus’ home as the pretend home. Regulus was going to be the client. Yasano was the culprit and Atsushi was the hostage. The plan was that they entered the home to ask Regulus a few questions and look around. Regulus will then lead them to a room where it turned out that this was all a trap by Yasano who is holding Atsushi hostage. Regulus will apologize saying that he was only doing this so Yasano would not hurt his friend. She was only doing this because she wanted an important file that only Kunikida had access to but he could not give her the file as it contained important government information. The situation will become worse as Yasano would be more frustrated by this. Depending on how the situation will go, she will try to kill Atsushi or Regulus and it was up to Kira on how she would handle the situation.

“You can read the file while we are walking towards the client’s home. Let’s go.”

Kunikida was already leaving as he expected Kira to follow him.

A quick nod was given in reply as the young woman looked at the file... Turquois orbs scanned the documents as she walked behind Kunikida, trusting her ability to tell her if she’s about to walk into anything--after all, she and Midna were much closer than they seemed to be when she met Kunikida.

“How far away is this?” she asked, pointing to the client’s address. “I’m...afraid I am still not the most familiar with this city... I suppose that would be a struggle for me when going to jobs and the like. But Midna may be able to teleport me to a few places in the city.?” Like the Armed Detective Agency building, for example. That would be helpful.

Kira quickly finished reading the file and then closed it up, tucking it underneath her arm as she tried to quicken her pace to match his own with his long legs. She supposed she was lucky she had such an intelligent mind...otherwise, with her being unfamiliar with the city and being so short that it hinders her speed, she wouldn’t be the best detective.

“Ah, a hydro vision?” Kira asked with a smile as she pointed to the blue orb. She really enjoyed working in the Adventurer’s Guild... of course, there were many reasons behind this, but she mainly loved to meet others with visions. It made her feel more at home... less like abnormality. 

“I suppose that would work well with my own cryo powers.!” She was trying to start up some small talk... Kira really was rather dreadful when it came to talking to others, but not as much as her roommate, Lia. She and Garth were told to take care of clearing some monsters out of a hideout, and that would be much easier with some friendliness between them.

“Um... excuse me?” the young woman called out as she approached the girl in question. Seldom did she ever see a civilian outside of the walls of Mondstadt... most of the people outside of the city walls were up to no good, after all. 

Kira approached the teenager, allowing her grimoire to hover behind her since she wasn’t using it. It wasn’t her job to help the people of Mondstadt--that was for the Knights of Favonius to do--but she still enjoyed helping others. Especially little girls who get lost outside of the city.

“Are you lost.? It’s dangerous to go out into the city alone, you know...” She didn’t realize this ‘girl’ was one of the knights...

Some thoughts for Genshin Impact Kira??

Kira lives in Mondstadt and is Lia’s roommate!! YEAH, SHES NOT HER MOM IN THIS AU, they’re friends uwu

She uses a catalyst!! And her vison is cryo!! (i may change this to hydro, i cant pick...........)

Kira is 24 in this AU~ very nice and hopeful, but also shy and can be pretty serious at times. 

In contrast to Lia, she actually likes the Knights of Favonius! She would love to join them, but isn’t quite sure... besides, she would rather remain an adventurer and be free to go wherever she wants. 

She was given her vision when she was young and still lived with her “adoptive parents”, and she accidentally froze her “adoptive father” with it. She doesn’t understand why she was blessed with such a power... but she’s very grateful for it. It helped her escape that nightmarish house, after all.
