⊱ “That won’t be necessary. You’re here, so you might as well perform as scheduled.” It would be a greater waste of time and money removing them from the grounds ahead of time. Plus, due to his acquaintanceship with other circus folk, he preferred to keep his exposure limited. “I am Ichabod Crane. Are you aware of how long you are meant to stay here, Ngoki? I don’t have your troop recorded on my calender.”

" I'd like to thank you for understanding, " Offered up the tight rope specialist with clear glee placing itself over his features as he brought hands in front of him. Ngoki's disposition, an automatic response upon running into new individuals, probably would have appeared concerning to anyone who had seen him lately. Thankfully, for him, this person had never met him prior to this instance. It was a fact he couldn't help but be grateful toward. " It's a pleasure to meet you Ichabod, peculiar name you have there, " But he couldn't say much about that considering his own adopted name was rather strange, " I'm not all that aware actually! I just go where this place takes me, " He concluded with a smile, appearing all the more genuine than he was being.

“It’s okay, if you want I could assist you?” She asked in a manner that was unsure of being a question or statement. She could go help her brother, Boobin, or her father, Kaidan… Maybe even her uncle Alucard. All and all she was trying to kill time so going with a complete stranger seemed… Better for words as; better do then be disappointed. Shifting some she stood and game him a small smile, although she was cramping horridly.

" You don't have to come along. I just wish to find my way back to the circus, we have a show tonight and I cannot afford to be late, " Ngoki could feel it tug at him, that desire to be back where he considered home, but there was only so much he could do. He was always one for losing his way, unable to find his way back, unable to trace the energy he felt tug at his soul almost. It was a palpable feeling, one he couldn't imagine anyone really understanding. " Perhaps I can entertain you along the way? " It was a way to pay back someone who didn't really have to do much of anything for him.

"well i’m kinda lost.. since someone teared my map." the demon answered.

" Lost you say! I'd be more than happy to lend a hand, but first, you can't be here, " He went on to say happily, practically prancing forward and placing his hands in front of him, " The circus is off limits until show time after all.~ "

" Excuse me? Can I help you? " It seemed yet another individual wandered onto the property.

Looking up from her book a small frown crossed her features. Honestly she doesn’t know where anything is. “U-um… Sorry I do not.”

" Hm~, seems like I've found myself in a predicament, " Ngoki had to get back after all, if he didn't take care of most of the circus performers, no one would--or at least, at this point that's what he'd come to think for the most part. " I apologize for asking, " Mused the dancer, placing one foot in front of the other, " I just need get to my place of work. "

" If you're here to do what those brats did, you're not going to get lucky, " Ngoki figured if this gig didn't work out he could always just go into the catering business.

⊱ “Afraid not. Your circus is currently stationed on land under my ownership. Your clearance here was a mistake. However, seeing as you’re already settled, I thought it best to take a look before allowing you to finish your work here.”

" If there's a problem, you may talk to Alberi, the ringmaster, " It was best not to dwell into the political, it left a very sour taste in the dancer's mouth. After all, it reminded him of some horribly distasteful individuals, " That aside, it's a pleasure to meet you. My name's Ngoki, I'm one of the performers. I'd be more than happy to assist however means I can provide--but of course, there's only so much I can do before you have to talk to the man of the show himself. "

"Ah.. wait, wait, before you do that, could you tell Alice where she is? Alice is not here to see.. this show you’re talking about."

" So you talk..., " In the third person it seemed, a very odd mannerism that he didn't think he'd really fully come across, " You're...here? I guess, " The dancer tried to explain, though he wasn't necessarily one for answering questions. " Where do you need to be? "

“No, I mean it! You’re a saint. My hero!!” Of course, Alberi takes every chance he gets to stroke the silly dancer’s ego. It just felt right to do so, considering how long they’d been together. If there was anyone that deserved all of Alberi’s praise, it was Ngoki. “Are you going to feed it to me too~?”

" Don't be silly! " The laugh that came out of him was probably one of the loudest he'd had in a long time, after all, he was always happy to know that he was doing something right. Ngoki wasn't much of a people pleaser, despite his nature as a performer, but he did love making sure the ones close to him were well taken care of. Even if he did deserve the compliments, the dancer wouldn't have taken them so easily. " Oh? Do you want me to? I wouldn't mind, " He added happily, positioning himself correctly for the sake of using a fork to cut into the omelette, taking a piece and offering it to the taller man.

“You are a saint, Ngoki!” He coos, grinning as he sits up in bed. “What’d you make?”

" Now, now, I wouldn't call myself a /saint/, " Oh, Ngoki probably would but he didn't want to seem /too/ haughty. Without batting an eye, he produced a plate from behind his back, " It's an omelette, if it's not to your liking, I can prepare something else. "

“..replaced..?” He parrots, shaking his head at the very idea!! “Of course you weren’t replaced. You’re part of the family, Ngoki. There isn’t anyone who could replace you.” Quite literally, considering Ngoki had not taken on a pupil before his absence. Nobody else could preform his act, even if they wanted to. “Mm.. we’ve lost a few other members. Liam, I haven’t seen him in quote some time.. A few of the crew members, our fire breather, the knife thrower..” He sighs, “We’re in need of new recruits.”

" Relax, Alberi, I only meant to tease, " He responded, surprise crawling into his voice at the other man's statement, all too aware of the complications of his absence. No one could do what he did, not a single being, unless he taught them to himself. Though, his playful attitude was quickly replaced by a much more serious one at the reality that their numbers had dwindled a good amount. It posed a problem, considering that once the others were taken out, there only left Ludwig, Adelise, Alberi and himself. Though he didn't believe Liam would be gone for long, the absence alone was as much of a problem as his own was. Ngoki felt a slight disappointment wash over his body, shoulders almost being weighed down. He had a duty, and he had forsaken it. Now he had to find a way to assist. " In the mean time, I'll take up a few posts after shows. For the sake of getting things moving, such as disposal if it's necessary, " The dancer didn't mind after all, given that he had let them down quite a bit.

▪ ▪ ▪ ▌❤▐ ’ Andrew followed after him without haste, quite eager in the end to get out of the place which left him feeling dreadfully uneasy. Falling quiet for but a moment to check to see if he can communicate with Augustus; he opted that if it couldn’t than it meant the creature had long since escaped the perimeter of the circus. Good thing, too. And before Andrew could bask in his relief any further, he was suddenly drawn from his thoughts and left to look over to the man once more. “Oh — yes! I will be.” Stated with a nod of his head, “I’ve never heard of this Circus however..”

" It wouldn't be out of place, " Ngoki replied with a soft chuckle. After all, the circus they were in charge of was a bit more bizarre than most in several ways. More often than not, they were forgotten not long after giving their shows. It was for good reason, but it wasn't like the dancer would have explained something of the sort. It wasn't the business of strangers to know what happened around and about the tent. It was secretive that way, and he adored that aspect, though it was for the sake of concealment. Ngoki preferred to think of it as a gated sort of community rather than just a group of strangely talented individuals. " I'm actually in charge of one of the more direct acts, nothing entirely magical in a sense--but I find the feat all the more stunning all the same. "
