the way the fandom (and canon!) treats Nico versus Meg is so amusing to me given they have like one year between them at best. Meg in TOA is older than Nico in TLO. Why is every 13 year old in TOA babey when Nico is treated like the hottest emo boy who needs to enter a relationship Right Now or he'll Die but he only just turned 14. Meg is even shown to be basically equivalently powerful to a Big 3 kid. but she needs to be chaperoned meanwhile Nico at 11 is just let loose on the world unsupervised after beating up a ghost

My favorite this about Apollo is just how much he loves living. He isn’t some jaded immortal longing to die. No he loves learning new things, meeting new people, falling in love again and again even knowing the grief that comes with it. In fact he can’t even begin to comprehend why the Sybil and Harpocrates would ever choose to die.

It makes him risking his life and immortality for his friends so much more meaningful.

Apollos pain tolerance is absolutely insane. Like right after falling to earth he gets his nose broken, beat up, and likely has broken ribs the greatest thing injured? His pride. This dude keep getting back up after injuries and pain that would make anyone else crumple and it hardly registers.

He should not be this accustomed to pain he is a powerful god few people can hurt him. Makes you wonder how painful lightning is.

it's funny seeing pjo and hoo stans say that they haven't read toa because they're too old for it when toa is the series that becomes more enjoyable the older you get. like... its message of growth? learning from and accepting past wrongs? how it doesn't shy away from topics like child abuse? its explicit and large amount of lgbt representation? for crying out loud it's the only one of the series with an adult protagonist
