Alexis let out a sigh. âSorry about that, it sucks when youâre having one of those days. But I guess alcohol can make it a little better.â At least it helped forget, even if it was only for a few moments. âNo, not one that came back from the dead, I just arrived in Mystic Falls, Iâm the new teacher at the Salvatore Boarding School.â
â alcohol can make just about everything better. â yes, it made her sound like an alcoholic. but almost everyone she was surrounded by functioned on similar principles.  â no offense, but why would you come to mystic falls out of choice? this place is freaking hell. but congratulations on the job, my daughter used to go there.â

It all happened so fast ; first, she heard a voice she never thought sheâd hear again then the comfort of her mothers arms were wrapped around her in a tight embrace. âMom?â Instant tears sprung to her eyes as she holds her mom close in fear that sheâd slip away all too soon. âYou know who I am?â Sheâs been silently going insane with no one knowing who she was, feeling more alone each time someone looked at her like she was a stranger. Sheâd break to pieces if her parents didnât remember her. While the Salvatore school was a physical home for Hope, her mom always made her feel at home wherever they were. Physically Hope was okay, mentally though, she knew itâd take time. With her parents back it would be easier for her to accomplish that. âIâm so sorry I got you killed and I know that you already said you forgive me, but I donât forgive myself.â She couldnât. Looking to Hayley then, Hope took a moment to take in everything about her mom. âYou were watching me?â She felt comforted at the thought of it. âI didnât have a choice, everyone would have died. I couldnât let them die.â
she could feel tears welling in her own eyes, idly wondering how many times she was going to cry that day. from a girl who had no one to call family to being surrounded by it.  â of course i know who you are, â she hugged her again, pulling away only to hold her hands in her own. it was almost like if she let go her daughter would disappear again without a trace.  â iâm here now, weâll figure this out. fix it, together. â she placed her hand on her daughterâs cheek, expression softening slightly. there was nothing in the world that would ever be more important to her.  â you have to forgive yourself, iâm not going to let you live with guilt you shouldnât have. look at me, iâm fine. iâm right here, with you. â frown on her face and eyes narrowed, she shook her head slightly.  â it was no oneâs fault, okay? â taking a deep breath, she drew her closer for a moment, feeling a comfort in being close to her that she hadnât felt in years.  â of course i was watching you, hope. not all the time, donât worry. â she smiled slightly, eyebrows quirking suggestively.  â i know, youâre way too much like your family. itâs a mikaelson thing to sacrifice everything for the people you care about, after all. â she smiled, kissing her forehead.  â iâm here now, you have nothing to worry about. okay? â

âIâm sorry, baby,â he whispered. He had never meant to leave her. Not alone. âI never planned to leave. I never wanted to leave.â She had to know that. They had wanted her. More than anything in this world. They had wanted her. âI havenât found her, not yet. But thatâs okay,â he chuckled softly. âYour mom and I always find a way back to each other. We will find her again.â he smiled. âIâm sure she is prefect.â
she shook her head, wanting to say there was no need to apologize because it wasnât their fault. sheâd witnessed it, not only their death but the pain of being ripped away from your child. nothing could ever compare. â weâll find her together. mom - we have to. â she nodded, frown turning to a smile .  â she is, really. better than anything i couldâve ever hoped for. â

She wasnât sure what was worse, being trapped in a pit of never ending blackness, or being back to life with no one remembering who she was. When she jumped into Malivore, she did it knowing there was no way back and she was okay with that. But now sheâs never felt more alone in her life. It was only then that she remembered when she left, she left Rafael in wolf form. âOh my god, Rafael.â Finding the nearest person in the school Hope stopped them, âExcuse me, do you know a Rafael?â
upon returning, she had a single minded pursuit. find her daughter. being at peace, sheâd always kept an eye on her. watched her grow, find her first love - all with a proud smile on her face. sheâd watched her sacrifice herself for friends and family, a family trait it seemed. her worry had been trumped by how incredibly proud she was of who sheâd become. walking into the school grounds with trepidation, her plan wasnât more clear than hoping her wolf would lead her to her daughter. it seemed she didnât have to look far, hearing her voice clear as day talking to another student.  â hope! â her vampire speed had her there in a second, arms wrapped around her daughter so tight she wouldâve crushed her bones if it was anybody else.  â iâm so glad youâre okay. â she pulled back, kissing her forehead before wrapping her in another hug. looking at her again, this time with a frown.  â sacrificing yourself - what were you thinking. â

âOh, hey,â he whispered, reaching to rub his hand over her cheek. âWe donât need to cry. Well you donât need to cry,â he laughed when he realized much the same as her that he was crying. But he was allowed. He was her father. He had lost her. Left her for so long and here she was. She was alive and she was save. She was so big. âI am very much going cry.â His wolf had felt her, still after all this time. It had come for her. His little girl. His blood. He moved to hug her, to just curl her into his arms like he did when she was little. âItâs okay, honey. You are okay. Iâm here.â
â iâve been looking for you all my life, i think i deserve to cry. â she chuckled as she wiped her eyes, but couldnât get herself to look away for even a second. it was almost as though heâd disappear if she did. falling into the hug just as easily, she didnât mean to sob, it wasnât something she did often, but a part of her heart that had been clawed off years ago finally felt like it was being healed. being filled. it was like coming back to a home she never thought sheâd have. pulling away but reluctantly, she looked at him again in wonder. â mom? is she here too? â then suddenly remembering all that had plagued her since she returned, she frowned again.  â my daughter. i have to find her. youâd love her, sheâs fierce, strong, compassionate. â

âNo, Marcel and I were good. I mean, he hated Richard. But most people with a brain didnât like that man.â He had helped the war with species continue. Marcel and River were trying to end it. He nodded when she said she had been a child. He didnât know how long after he had been killed that it continued. But it meant she could have been know someone he did. He moved to take her hand when she paused and he met her eyes. Andrea? He couldnât have misheard that. How many people would have named their child the same as he had? He was going crazy but still. He looked her over, looking for something that would tell him. Because she was here. A grown adult in front of him. Then he looked into her eyes and it was like he knew. âYou have your mothers eyes,â he finally whispered.Â
â he was .. is. he saved my life. â she tilted her head slightly, confusion on her face dissipating the moment recognition crept into his eyes. her father. after the years sheâd spent looking for her family, the pain that had ripped through her the moment sheâd realised they were dead. the idea of never knowing them through anything but the memories of others. there was almost a hint of tears in her eyes, pushing away her instinct to mistrust and instead following the the urge her wolf felt to be with her family. â dad? â her mouth fell open for a moment, hand going to cover it. suddenly, she was lost and sixteen again. â i never thought iâd see you i - its really you. â

âI saw a few when i was there,â he commented. âBut given my whole bloodline was killed off, i guess I should be happy that some of us are back. Another chance. If this is a better place. I will sent to work to any of the wolves that want to leave New Orelans. The war was stupid the first time, I just canât believe how many people died because of it.â He looked up at the woman too. âSorry, one of the wolves told me that my family line was killed of in a not very soft way. River,â he said, holding out his had.
â the war with marcel and the vampires, â she commented with a frown, looking at the man in a way that tried to gauge exactly why she felt drawn to him. maybe it was the cresent wolf in her pushing her towards a member of her pack. but sheâd felt that before .. this felt different.  â i wasnât around then, not really. unless you count being a helpless infant as being around. my parents were. â she mused, looking up at the sky for a moment to hide the flash of emotion that surged through her at the mention of their deaths.  â iâm sure theyâll show up soon, with all these resurrections. iâm looking for my family too. my daughter - hope. â hearing the familiar sounding name, she frowned again as if in thought.  â that sounds .. familiar. like iâve read that somewhere. river labonair? â she held her hand in his, about to shake it when she felt a surge of recognition, and she knew.  â i .. i was born andrea labonair. â

âThe woods smell different out here,â he comment. âNot like New Orleans. The bayou had this⊠air to it. Smelt like home.â
hayley stopped at the voice, peering from around a tree where sheâd been walking to explore the woods sheâd once known so well.  â the bayou - are you a crescent? did you just come back? are there others? â she paused, realising she was bombarding an unknown man with all the question sheâd had since her return.  â sorry .. coming back clearly put me on edge. iâm hayley. â

Alexis turned her head to look at the woman next to her and let out a sigh. âYeah, hard day?â She asked as she closed the menu, placing it on the counter and calling the waiter to come take her order. Alexis didnât know if the other wanted to talk about whatever problems she had, but she might as well offer to listen. âI just got here, still figuring things out, you know? But I got time to listen to you talk about it, if you want.â
she couldnât help but let out a sigh of her own, glad when another drink was brought for her. another advantage of being a hybrid - she could truly drown herself in alcohol when she pleased.  â you could say that. â she turned towards the other now, nodding as they talked.  â got here as in to mystic falls or back from the dead? â

Alexis had taken the first day to settle down and find herself an apartment in town. She had been looking forward for the change of scenery, she couldnât be in Chicago anymore, after what happened, it was too hard for her. That was part of the reason why Alexis applied for the job at the Boarding School, the chance to get away from that city. Alexis entered the Mystic Grill and took a seat by the counter, looking through the menu. âWhat do you suggest?â She asked to the person sitting next to her.
coming back from the dead was a strange experience, back in the one city she thought sheâd never see again. surrounded by familiar faces made her itch for the peace of death, & yet she had but one purpose here. sheâd always had the same purpose - a family. & every time she got close she was reminded that it was nothing but a pipe dream. deciding to drown her sorrows first & face life after, she was sitting with a drink that she continuisly drained & a burger she ignored as it sat before her.  â well they do have killer cheeseburgers. though iâm partial towards mr. scotch over here. â she raised her glass in her direction before finishing it off.

â¶Â· Š HAYLEY MARSHALL-KENNER who looks exactly the same as PHOEBE TONKIN has been seen in mystic falls. i heard they are a 35 year old HYBRID, that looks 20. i heard they WILL become a BAR OWNER as they HAVE returned from the dead. they are in town because SHE WANTS TO BE WITH HER FAMILY. i wonder what trouble they are going to cause?
who are you and your character?
hello ! iâm rae and this is my second baby, hayley marshall.
what was your character doing? how long have they been here?
very recently resurrected & a little out of sorts, hayleyâs looking for her family. soon, iâm going to have her own an run a small bar.
are they back from the dead? how has that effected them? if not, how do they feel about the dead being back?
although she found peace and was happy, the bigger part of her HATED that she couldnât be there for her daughter. now that sheâs back, hope is her priority.
how are you going to play the character?
hayleyâs going to be pretty canon, feels very strongly about her family and would do anything to protect them. sheâs a little disoriented about being back but her single mind pursuit is making sure her family is okay. she also wants to make sure this extends to the wolves in the school, considering she used to help newly turned wolves with their transformation will definitely be helping out at the school whenever possible. Â
any wanted connections/plots?
jackson, more crescent wolves & all the mikaelsons!
