There's a mech on the catwalk, circling your body. He's only been here for ten seconds, now, but you- you've been here for much longer, haven't you? The room is bathed in red light. When Prowl walks, his shadow stretches- over you. "Takeoff's in twenty-one hours, Overlord." His voice reverberates. Your first, last, and only visitor, since your reconstruction. Even the medics hadn't been in the same room as you- you'd been put back together by claws, cold metal, void of spark and warmth, lest it wake you. (It's fear. It's an Autobot fear.) Prowl stops pacing to speak again, and this time he faces you, so that you may see the disgust that paints his face. "...But it may only be two or three seconds for you, in this cell. I'm afraid this is our last talk- though talk is subjective, really, considering you've done none of that. I'm having a favor called in. Two, actually. If I'm lucky, one of them will smarten up, and this'll be the last chance I have to ever see you again." "I don't think you know how tempting it is, reversing your slow cell. I could make a thousand years pass for you in here in the span of a second out there. Eject you. Bury you. But I won't. And I think you and I both know why." Prowl straightens, his doorwings snapping back. "It's over. No more dead Wreckers."

The mech circling him is angled in shadow and darkness and none of it is accidental. It isn't difficult to notice that Prowl refuses to step out of the shade. He doesn't have much time to focus on it -- he can't truly focus on anything in this hellhole, and some part of him - the forefront of his mind that remains drenched in schemes and social slights and the blood of those not-so innocent, the instinctive part of him, recognises that it is likely a purposeful side effect. A good strategist is half psychologist half sadist. Prowl isn't the best, but he's certainly close. Overlord would have never put a phase-sixer back together. This was a ritual. One of pride, and no ritual was complete without the spilling of blood - to fail to do so was to produce a mockery, a false facsimile that bore within it no life. No passion. "For a mech who thinks of himself as detatched, you're certainly enjoying this." It's the first thing he's said since Prowl began his monologuing, pacing around the room all stiff and uptight. Like a distressed animal. A grin tugs at the corners of his lips. Despite his situation, despite the endless hopelessness of it all - he's grinning. If he is afraid, if he's capable of being something so banal, so indicative of living normality, it isn't noticeable. His own fear isn't something he's come to know. Not from an Autobot. "21 hours. You'll be thinking of me far beyond that, Prowl. Thinking about all those pawns of yours I knocked off of the board. How hard did you work to put those together, I wonder? It didn't matter in the end. They all died easy. You'll be sitting at your desk, pouring over your failures, and you'll still be thinking of me. And you'll say 'At least he's locked away,'" Overlord pauses to let a mean, almost giddy laugh escape from his throat. "But I won't be. Not forever. I'll get out of here, and whilst you're busy convincing yourself that you did a good thing, I'll be busy tearing the sparks out of whatever fools you convinced to work for you next. And when I'm done there, I'll come for you. I'll give it some time -- let the news get to you first. You'll put up all your defences, your technology, form your useless strategies - and it won't matter. I'll get through them. And when I get my hands on you, you're going to wish you just drove a bullet through your own brain vorns ago, when you first realised you were utterly useless at this."
