Me: oh yeah, if you think school photography is hard now, try imagining doing this with film.
The new girl: what’s film?
Me: … film. Like… film that goes in a film camera.
New girl: what’s that mean?
Me: … before cameras were digital.
New girl: how did you do it before digital?
Me:… with film? I haven’t had enough coffee for this conversation

How to show emotions
Part I
How to show annoyance
slightly shaking their head
rolling their eyes
looking to the side
closing their eyes for a moment
sighing
taking a deep breath
clucking their tongue
huffing
crossing their arms in front of their chest
tapping their foot
How to show hurt
turning away
avoiding eye contact
closing eyes
lips pressed together
eyes filled with tears
breathing deeply
How to show anger
clenching their fists
pressing their lips on each other
breathing loudly through their nose
eyes getting smaller
clenching their teeth
clenching their jaw
looking away to calm themselves
speaking with clenched teeth
whole body is tense
screaming
throwing things around
stomping
moving around a lot, can’t keeping still
open body language, like they are ready to attack
frown wrinkles on their forehead
prominent veins
grabbing someone they are angry with to get them to understand why they are angry
becoming violent
non-stop talking, ranting
shaking their head
throwing their arms in the air
eyes either going from one point to another while ranting or completely fixating on the person they are angry with
How to show excitement
jumping up and down
not being able to stand still
clapping their hands
bright eyes
grinning
squealing
giggling
flushed face
bouncing
dilated pupils
tapping their foot
How to show boredom
biting nails
leg bouncing
sighing
playing with everything close by
twiddling your thumbs
spinning around
grumbling
staring into the distance
propping your head on your hand
Part II + Part III

CIS PEOPLE DO NOT INTERACT
cis people are so stupid and so focused on cis normativity that they cannot comprehend trans joy or trans people just feeling understood. i was trying to tell my sister that allan from the barbie movie unintentionally summarized the transmasc experience and she genuinely could not understand what i was talking about because allan wasn't trans. and when i said "i know. i don't think he was supposed to be trans but a male character who is better friends and more comfortable with female characters and is noticeably out of place and isolated from other men in a more masculine and overly macho setting is exactly what i experience as a trans man." and her response was literally just "but he isn't trans"

hey netizens! i'm not sure how many people are aware, but youtube's been slowly rolling out a new anti-adblock policy that can't be bypassed with the usual software like uBlock Origin and Pi-Hole out of the gate
BUT, if you're a uBlock Origin user (or use an adblocker with a similar cosmetics modifier), you can add these commands in the uBlock dashboard to get rid of it!
youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.openPopupConfig.supportedPopups.adBlockMessageViewModel, false) youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.adBlocksFound, 0) youtube.com##+js(set, ytplayer.config.args.raw_player_response.adPlacements, []) youtube.com##+js(set, Object.prototype.hasAllowedInstreamAd, true)
reblog to help keep the internet less annoying and to tell corporations that try shit like this to go fuck themselves <3

I didn't touch the stuff till I was sixteen.
My parents were gently but firmly against caffeine intake, which didn't stop me from drinking copious amounts of green tea(loose leaf, no less).
Then, I reached the late teens, and my unusually liberal indian parents had started giving me a good bit of autonomy. The caveat here- keep your piano classes up and your grades straight.
For those of you unfamiliar with pan-asian education systems- rigour is a watchword, rote is the only method.
Finding myself coming off the sugar addictions of a few years prior, and a quickly done away with smoking habit, I found the need for stimulus.
There was, in my house(as I have come to suspect of most family pantries), a jar of Nescafe kicking around.
Sugary, milky and strong, in a little red cup- high school was marked by early math mornings and late coffee nights.
Now, I work between a french press, a moka pot and a vietnamese filter.
Coffee is less a stimulant now, more a ritual of an adult finding their own patterns of sanity in a chaotic and insecure world.
People who drink coffee: why did you start?
I don't drink coffee and I've never wanted to, but that's obviously ~not normal~, so I'm curious why most people do start drinking it.

I pray in 2023 I am more organized, focused, driven, motivated, smarter, wealthier, and healthier. Do more things that feel fulfilling on a soul level. Alchemize every negative emotion and experience and trust it works out in my highest good. I romanticize life because the beauty we see in everything is a reflection of the beauty we see in ourself. 🍀

telemetry doesn’t lie. he goes on throttle meters before everyone else, even before his own previous laps. if that’s not enough for you, he also doesn’t bother to counter steer which every driver does instinctively to prevent a crash — the most blatant evidence that he had no intention of saving it.
let’s put that into plainer words. perez cheated in monaco. the only thing he deserves is a DSQ, and certainly not respect from his teammate.
he chose to fuck over his team and his teammate because he couldn’t cope with the fact that he’s simply not good enough. at a time when the championship was still very close.
perez is the selfish one. perez is the one who put his team in a untenable situation. he has none of my sympathy and all of my scorn.
btw RBR, max told you where he stood, what he would not be willing to do. you asked him anyway, and all he did was remain a man of his word. so have some shame too.

sometimes I think I'm terrified of being happy because when those moments end it leaves me feeling so drained and empty and hollow to know it won't happen again one day these people will leave and then one day that building won't exist and there will be nothing in the world to remind me that I was really just that happy. except me. except the fact that it's etched into my heart, another tally mark for something that was perfect and finite

my friend told me last night that he gets girls to come back to his place by telling them “oh i can’t wait to go home and have some stew” and “i’m so hungry, good thing i have stew at home” and it’s worked every time
