“Engaged?” Zelda gasps in surprise.

She heard lots was happening in the Domain but she had no idea. Sweet goddess! Link is going to get an earful from keeping that from her! Despite her surprise, and mild annoyance, she could quickly brush it off to be excited.

“That’s wonderful news!” She enthusiastically agreed as her eyes followed Mipha’s finger. A zora from another kingdom. That had her curious too. Yona must have lots of stories to tell. Was it really a surprise that she, a scholar, was curious to an opportunity to learn more?

She looks back at Mipha. Something was… odd. Zelda looks her over slowly, trying to place the feeling. An unanswered… something. Feeling? Was it a question? Was it news? Surely there must be news. Life doesn’t just stand still for two years. Alas it seemed maybe it wasn’t exactly thrilling?

“Is something wrong?” She asks. “Love is a wonderful thing, is it not? Are you having troubles?”

Mipha nods slowly Zelda is right there is no reason to be so serious the battle is one and peace has been restored to Hyrule and her beloved domain once more, takes Zelda's hand into hers their fingers entwine. Two years later after the Calamity and she can't but find it so bizarre how she survived, she was nearly at deaths door the Blight had pushed her to absolute exhaustion and was about to use it's long reach spear on her to slice right through her then suddenly it vanished into thin air Vah Ruta saved malice as if were never there could it be she wonders if prehaps the spirt of princess Ruto was looking out for her looking out for her as she is a descendent of hers the brave spirit of Ruto defeated that monster at the last minute--- but still it is an incredible miracle that she did!

" That sounds absolutely wonderful, yes let us catch up there's so much i have been wishing to tell you. " She gets up for her throne and it is now revealed that she's exactly twenty inches taller then Zelda is. The queen strolls down to the lower part of the domain there is Zora children playing and singing everywhere and other Zora talking amongst themselves others carrying out their duties " So much has happened since the last time i saw you. Sidon is engaged now to his childhood friend Yona. Isn't that so cute?" with one hand Mipha gestures to the light green Zora and Sidon talking nearby the pools, slowly building her way to the news of her own engagement. " So much love is in the air these days!" She's always been a romantic.

Despite the crippling atmosphere, Zelda was… chipper to say the least. To her it wasn’t scary. Well… it was. It felt like the air itself was interested in stabbing her heart. The stones beneath her feet ready to swallow her up. The walls that have stood standing for centuries tempted to collapse onto her just to spite her triumphs.

Even now some forces linger that desire her to be no more than a stain in the earth. But as always, that fear seemed to flee with Link by her side. He will cleave the wind, chip the earth, and brace the walls if she asked him to. That dedication once scared her as well as was an annoyance. She knows better now. Link is her pillar. Her light in the pitch darkness. It didn’t feel intimidating facing it together, but maybe she shouldn’t be so confident.

For now she was oblivious. Her hand pinning a journal to the wall as she scribbled down the symbols etched into the carving she was inspecting as the other kept hold of the torch for light. The crushing atmosphere forgotten for now as she was absorbed in her passion. Civilizations shouldn’t be lost. Their ancestors’ voices need to be heard and remembered.

A rumble. Enough to shake her bones. Enough to break her concentration and glance around. When she turned to face Link something felt off with him.

“Link?” Her voice came out softer than she had expected it to. As if they were sneaking around with something sleeping just within earshot. “Has something happened?”

The air down here was thick, ancient, heavy with the scent of earth and stone long forgotten. Link moved cautiously, each step measured, boots echoing against the cracked floor. The walls around him curved inward, half swallowed by roots and time. What had once been a temple now felt like a tomb.

His hand hovered near his sword, not drawn, but ready. It wasn’t monsters he feared. It was a feeling. That humming silence, deep and constant, like the place was remembering something.

Ahead, her footsteps sounded lighter than his. Zelda walked with purpose, her figure outlined by the soft glow of her torch. Link kept close --not just to guard her, but because something about this place pressed in harder the farther apart they were.

He scanned the carvings etched into the stone walls, half eroded and unreadable. Some looked Sheikah. Some… didn’t. Whatever civilization built this place, it wasn't in any of the texts he’d seen. It felt older.

A strange vibration thrummed beneath his boots. He paused, tilting his head, listening. Nothing. But the feeling remained, like standing at the edge of something deep and endless.

He looked toward her. Zelda had stopped at a pedestal ahead, the torchlight painting shifting shadows across her shoulders. She leaned slightly forward, studying something. Link didn’t move yet. He watched.

For a moment, it felt like they were standing in the lungs of the world, waiting for it to exhale.

Becoming a dragon has it's consequences as you can see, it was the only way to deliver the master sword to you." She knows she'll outlive him and now there's nothing she wants more then to savor every moment with him.

His brows twitch down. A small scowl, small but critical. Odd she would even think that. That form was… beautiful in its own way. The sacrifice she made for him was nothing short of love and he knew that.

And… he liked it. Her soft fluffy mane and the scales had a warm welcoming quality to them. She was iridescent in the sky, like a rainbow that never left and always watched him from above.

Of course.. he knew what she meant. He reached out and put his hands on hers, folding his fingers in between hers. He held her gaze. He dare not let her green eyes leave his.

Whatever time they had left was time he treasured. Together, they can handle anything. They’ve proven that before and they can do it again. Hylia and all her wisdom must at least grant them that gift… right?

Well… it seems the Yiga don’t really coddle social skills do they? No wonder it’s so easy to spot them in disguise most times. Impa watched with a rather flat expression as Tali inspected her like a prized cucco.

She moved her head back as the other inspected her face. At this point she didn’t care that much, it was more just her inner voice being just as miserable as the rest of her. Her feet throbbed and her arms felt heavy. Her best plan was to find the best shelter for the night and sleep it off. Being reminded of her shortcomings today only deepened her scowl.

“I’d rather we find somewhere safe to call it a night. I… doubt I can make it much further.” She casts her eyes away in a stern thought. There isn’t much in terms of close by settlements around here anyways unless they trudge to the beach. But there are lots of caves.

"Ancient Yiga secrets, obviously!" Tali jovially replies, "but I bet he'll tell me some day if I keep up the good work. Trust me, it's so gonna happen."

The Yiga stalks around Impa, examining her from different angles, her head tilting from side to side. Tali was never good at taking many hits, so she had to invest more time in learning proper evasion techniques. Between that and the fact that she had arrived at the tail of things, as well as she hadn't ever made the choice to take on an entire horde on her own without several tricks up her sleeve, Tali was still pretty much unscathed, and full of vitality. ....meaning she could very suddenly get right up in Impa's face, her inverted eye so close it likely blocked a majority of Impa's vision. She can see the tiredness in her eyes, and the way it looked like her limbs had gone slack. She wonders how many injuries her ally had sustained. "No offense, but you look terrible. How long have you been going on for? Want some healing? We're trucies now, so I really do mean it! I can drag you over to someone who can heal you up in a snap!" to accentuate her point, Tali snaps her fingers, adding some flare with a little bit of smoke generated from the movement.

Well… that’s unexpected. A rock that seems to have some kind of… sentience. Alas she was sure it wasn’t a bad thing. It wouldn’t be marked with the tribe’s symbol if it was bad.

“Call it a hunch, talking rock.” Purah answered before knocking on the top of it. “How peculiar…”

Her body moves with a deep sigh. How much easier this could be if she were stronger. If she could he would go out onto the front lines herself to clear the way.

But the offer brought her out of her slow spiral. Her gaze rises from the floor again to back onto the captain. Curiosity and a hopefulness brimming in her expression.

“Yes of course. Please speak freely.”

"...It would be convenient, to protect everyone in one spot. But resources are stretched thin as well, your highness...."

He prevents a sigh from falling off his lips, but there was more trouble to the start. after all he's not here for one report, there were multiple reports incoming. He wonders if the princess knew about them from her inner circle.

"Princess, Might I...offer a suggestion?"

With what felt like his life’s goal completed, Link didn’t have much else to do. Of course being dedicated to Zelda as her retainer and knight meant he was willing to follow her to the ends of the earth. While he enjoyed his restoration work with her and rebuilding the things that were destroyed Link found he was… longing for something. More accurately, someone.

Zelda understood of course. She told him to follow whatever path he needed to for now. With peace restored there wasn’t much need for a hero unless a new threat came around. So his feet found they knew where he needed to go more so than he really knew.

Link nods at the question. He was here for Mipha. Honestly he didn’t expect to run right into the throne room, but where else would a princess be? Alas it seems he did miss her. Perhaps she was fishing or tending to Ruta? Now that everyone could relax it was.. difficult to truly let go of things like that.

It's mid morning in Zora domain, Mipha has spent the morning swimming Ruto Lake in a sense is mediating as there is more to being a Zora then being able to swim well but must be able to feel the the waves, feel the music spiritually and hear their song, underwater the princess gracefully swims around. The battle is one everything went as planned perfectly and disaster has been avoided! To think what would've happened in truth? Mipha had been worried about the battle against Calamity that it felt like nobody truly understood just what they are up against although she doesn't know much about the Calamity based on what she's heard it feels like it's much bigger then everybody knows.

Since the defeat of Calamity Ganon Mipha hasn't seen any of the other champions the princess does miss her friends but can understand. Most of all she misses Link,oh how her tender heart yearns for him but like the other champions he's probably gone home now gone back to his own life.

Meanwhile, of course she is not aware that her father just happens to be speaking to Link. " How wonderful it is to see you again Link. I assume you are seeking out Mipha?" King Dorephan asks

“Welcome to our domain!” Sidon greeted once Angel had ascended the ladder to the main area beside the grand statue.

Despite the smooth stone and water that made up the domain it wasn’t too difficult to grip with shoes. Usually people overcompensate. The travel did take a decent chunk of time. Enough of it that the sun was already descending the sky. The warm reds and oranges of a sunset began to deepen the sky.

“You must be hungry.” Sidon gestured to the one shop then the other on the adjacent side. “We have food and beds for travellers like yourself if you wish. There’s a fire to cook over as well.”

The revelation that the Zora who had brought him to the domain was their crown prince came as little surprise to the mage. It certainly explained the Zora’s impressive size. Most of the other Zora the great mage had encountered were around his own stature, if not smaller, especially when the Zora in question was female.

Angel observed as Sidon ascended the waterfall, reaching the highest point of the domain. The mage could easily have flown there, but Hylians weren’t known for their ability to fly, and he didn’t want to startle the residents or risk provoking an attack. So, the redhead opted for the next best option: climbing a rather tall step ladder.

It didn’t take long before he reached the top and was able to take in the breathtaking scenery. The mage carefully crossed the long bridge, scanning his surroundings with caution. The air was noticeably chilly—no surprise, given their proximity to the Hebra Mountains.

There was something so incredibly comforting about the words from this other her. A certainty that was full of calm confidence. Paired with her gentle smile and the wisdom behind her eyes, Zelda felt most reassured.

Not just that she felt what must have been over a hundred years worth of anguish she’s pushed down for the sake of continuing on. It felt like she hadn’t had a break to just grieve. Her eyes well up but she turned away. Her hand pressed against her mouth as all these emotions bubbled to the surface.

apologies for the longer absence! Work drama got kinda wild, including an ex coworker fr dropping a long rambling post about our company’s conduct in back of house conditions, even posting pictures of back of house things/equipment on a more popular social media platform in the land of minion memes and old lady beefs over recipes. Which caused head office people to revamp the department, being there everyday adding stuff to our plates with limited staff already and due to most of the pictures being of shit having concerning conditions all of a sudden we got a “random health inspection” some time this week.

So anyhoo ex coworker got a cease and desist while we’re all kinda getting punished for it. On the upside my department is kinda its own thing and my supervisor is strict about cleaning. So while our sister department is getting grilled for most things, we aren’t as much because we get the best scores for cleanliness and quality. But my manager shits the bed so much on other things it’s quite stressful since half the time I cant do my job cuz he forgot to order something and i got catering in less than 4 hours to do it and i just fucking cant do anything. So i kinda throw my attention into my blorbo rp blog to stay sane cuz hes my lil meow meow and I havent stopped thinking about him in 8 years which means i unintentionally sorta sit this one on the back burner at times. Ive also been dealing with constant sinus headaches and bouts of insomnia and random dizzy fatigue spells cuz spring break up is a bitch and my body is sensitive to it. Like fr why hire a weather man you can tell what’s gonna happen just by lookin at me. I’m more reliable than that damn groundhog. And unexpected expenses cuz my car is acting the fuck up and i cannot be without her.

I don’t believe in pissing and moaning for attention and sympathy online, y’all got better shit to do than listen to me yap. But I like l to tell my life stories every now and then cuz they’re entertaining imo and my life is wild sometimes. hopefully it makes you all understand why sometimes i disappear and respect the low activity warning. I super appreciate that. Sometimes life gets away from me and i adore my main acc still while also needing to build this one, albeit it slower.

tldr: work stress made me invest lots of time into my main acc rp. I will be replying soon.

Impa sighs deeply. She wasn’t sure if she was up for this kind of conversation right now. Her lungs hurt from heaving in her air for so long. Now she could finally breathe normally.

“It’s an old technique only taught to Sheikah warriors who pass certain tests are taught it.” She replies at the tail end of a deep breath. She slumps against a nearby rock. She was more tired than she thought. Must have been running and fighting for longer than she thought. “Where did Kohga learn it?”

Probably stole the scrolls knowing how that guy operates. They’ve never come across much all that honesty. But she won’t take the time to insult their glorious leader to her face.

With her quiver nearly empty, and the last monster vanquished, Tali finally has the chance to bounce back over to her ally, and for now, as long as the truce lasts, a potential not-too-reluctant friend? Or at the very least, a friendly source of information?!

"That was sooo fun! You fight really well for a Sheikah!" She exclaims, heart still furiously beating in her chest, clearly not having gotten the message yet to cut the adrenaline.

"And those copies of yours! Those were so cool! I thought only Master Kohga could make copies of himself!!! How do you do it?? C'mon, you gotta tell me! C'monnnnn." Tali holds both fists by her chest, eyes beneath her mask glittering with an intensely enthusiastic curiosity. Being an outsider that joined the Yiga Clan, Tali was less-so a traitor to the Sheikah, and moreso a traitor to the entirety of Hyrule as a whole. Still, that didn't stop her from bouncing in place with excitement at the prospect of learning more about where the Yiga came from, and all the differences between them and the Sheikah (cowardice and complacency aside!).

@watergraced8 [ to TOTK Link] [ SANDY ]: the sender and receiver go to the beach together for a date involving strolling, a picnic, swimming and watching the sunset!

Link still doesn’t tend to say much, even after everything that’s happened. But it’s nice to get away. It’s nice to… change up the scenery.

Along the shores of Horon Lagoon, navigating the rocky sands and pointy edges. Ideally they’d go farther, but he knows with Mipha’s responsibilities going across the kingdom for a mini vacation isn’t exactly reasonable. This place is nice enough, scenic and the high rocky structures means the elements aren’t so harsh. The water isn’t too strong with its currents.

Despite her insistence Link rejected her offer to help to climb up the rocks. She had the advantage of shooting out the water. He wasn’t so lucky but he didn’t mind scrambling up them. Once he laid out a blanket and pulled off a backpack with their food it was worth it. Mipha looks… nice all relaxed for once. The golden warm glow of the sunset turning the red of her scales into a rich fiery glow.

He pulled out a grilled fish skewer and handed it to her. He pulled one out for himself and began nibbling on it, his eyes on her, watching to make sure she’s enjoying everything.
