Talent and originality are the main factors for a DJ today to make a statement, there are a lot of DJs and producers; few have real character to change the music trend, to be innovative.

Pan-Pot's Thomas and Tassilo agree, saying that the difference a DJ can make when emerging onto the scene is originality and consistency.

Their inspiration comes from everything that is around them, life over all, a city, a song, a sensation, traveling, a mood, love … Everything that happens around you can be turned into music. Their sets are recognised when played, they have a signature that makes their sound unique.

Their journey in the music industry is articulate and has over 15 years of experience. They were DJs before they started to study audio engineering in Berlin which is where they met, and whilst mastering audio engineering they started to produce music. It helped them to understand the process of how ideas are turned into records. They started making minimal techno in the early 2000s that evolved into producing and playing Techno which is deeply rooted in their electronic music experience. Throughout the years as artists they mention the people that inspired them the most; Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Daniel Bell and many more, artists they liked back in the days when minimal was cool, „when people were surprised to know we were playing minimal.‟

Being true to oneself and to the sound you play can be a very expandable expression, Pan-Pot prefer to say that they are honest with themselves. „We never did things we didn’t truly want to do, regardless of the money, even if that means to work harder to achieve our goals.‟

Thomas and Tassilo work from separate studios, conceiving and working on ideas individually. Of course, the success they've had so far as artists depends heavily on their teamwork, but they are also aware that a duo consists in two individuals, in this case, with very different characters. „We need our own space in the musical relationship. It’s like being in a good working relationship (both laughing), each partner needs space and freedom to express creativity. Having two studios helps us feel free and gives a very open way to work together.‟

„We’re very happy and thankful to be part of the first HYTE season. We have a strong relationship with the brand. It’s a very family-like feeling.‟ This is how they feel as part of the HYTE crew. They are ready to perform at the highest level and want to leave an impact each and every time they perform. They love to do pre-parties and they are ready to show appreciation for the people that are coming to our nights.

They have developed their own style some time ago, in the productions, or in the DJ sets they produce and play. They have a trademark that people can hear and recognise. One of the biggest projects of the last year is going to be released at the end of September, their second album,'The Other'. An album with 14 tracks, both club and listening tracks, with a broad range of moods. They worked very hard doing it and we can't wait to hear it.

For their label Second State Audio they had their collaboration release called Hub One. They started developing this idea last year, the idea was to bring the artists on their label closer together. Definitely a lot of projects and we can‛t wait to hear more from them.

Ibiza was for Tassilo not an interesting place up until 6 years ago, then he discovered his love for the island and since then he feels quite comfortable here, even if the party madness is a bit too much sometimes. Thomas always loved the island, he is here with his family to enjoy not just the craziness associated to it, but the beautiful calm and not so commercial part.

The Island loves them, they slowly grew their reputation here with gigs at Cocoon, Carl Cox’s party, two seasons at Music On and now for HYTE. Playing on the island for them is always nice as the island has a very energetic vibe. „People come here to party, they expect the best of the best musically and this is quite a thrill for a DJ.‟

For sure there is a lot more to expect from them, this is the start of a journey with HYTE, it is like reading a book … – Good to know that what we wrote is just the first chapter.
