I'm watching "Rumor Has It" and I wish they had actually made Ms. Avery gay or even better had Caitlin realize - maybe even in a later season - that she's gay or bi.

I know this was the 80s and having a gay character on a show for teens is a lot to ask (especially if the episode was initially banned by the BBC for even dealing with the topic) but I can dream.

A little sneak peek from my fanfic notes. In which Hunter is trans and not ready to come out.

Yael: i can think of a way to go through with this without Baaz and Vijay having to find out. But Hunter it's okay if you're not ready to come out. You don't owe anyone an explanation. But this would be crossing the line into lying to your friends about being someone you're not. Vijay and Baaz are your best friends, don't you think they'd understand if you told them you're trans. Hunter: Vijay yeah, he knows other people like me, but about Baaz I'm not so sure. Yael, I'm just not ready to talk about this. They already treat me differently since I went into inpatient treatment and things have changed even more since I started dating you. I don't want their perception of me to change any more.

I made this sideblog last night because I decided I need more Degrassi back in my life and want to blog my next rewatch. Last time i got stuck in season 13 because Zoë's storyline was a bit too much for me at the time but i also don't like skipping ahead. I might continue with s13 and also start over at DJH.

I also want to finally start writing fanfic again. So many wips waiting to be finished and i always think "i just need to watch that episode/season again to see if this is in character" and then never have the time for it.

I'm back to writing my trans Hunter Hollingsworth fanfic but I find it hard to get Baaz's voice right. I think this is why i stopped working on it because there's really just the one scene between Hunter and Baaz still missing and then some editing.
