Hideyoshi as a Fenghuang (Chinese “phoenix”) inspired outfit

There’s this Chinese term “Fenghuang/phoenix man”, which means a man from humble backgrounds, like the rural countryside, who goes to the city and becomes successful. It reminds me of Hide so…  

Also! In Chinese legends, Fenghuang will not roost on any other tree except for the paulownia, and the paulownia flower is Hide’s crest in Tenka/SLBP!

here is the first 6 fan art challenge I made for SLBP actually lol. Back in this time, Kageie still hasn’t made it to my top bias (it was Kojuro that time) and I was still scraping for more Kageie content because I didn’t know much about him :’)

But I found some screenshots where he was in a ‘berserk’ mode when fighting Saizo, so I thought he has something to do with Saizo :’) Now that I’ve known him better, this drawing feels wrong… lol
