So I consider Gwen and Nikolaj my fave actress and actor and Jaime and Brienne are my all time favourite characters ever but I also haven’t seen that much of their other stuff even though I want to and I’ve probably spent hours watching their cute interviews tho but I mean would you still say that’s ok to say they’re still my faves?:/ like I love them so damn much honestly

Why not, dear anon? I also think that even if they did great other works, it could be more difficult to see them playing other roles for us. At least it is for me. They will always be Jamie and Brienne, no matter what happened with s8. As for Nik and Gwen as person I would watch them for hours in the interviews, not only because they are so funny together, but because they seem such good and genuine human beings....so.... Much love for them!

So I made this post the other day about this quote:

Brienne is Sansa with a Sword —GRRM

There was no primary source for this quote, just various fan reports. So with the help of some friends we decided to ask the man himself. We contacted him via email. 

And he answered us. 

More or less the question was this:

I recently came across a quotation that’s been attributed to you, but unfortunately the original source is no longer available, and I wanted to confirm it’s something you’ve actually said in the past. In 2014 at the Edinburgh Book Festival, multiple fans quoted you as saying that Brienne of Tarth is “Sansa with a sword,” with regards to certain personality traits. Is that an accurate quotation? 

And George’s answer was this:

I don’t remember saying that, but it could be. It has been six years.

So there you have it.

My friends and I are still in shock. We get his answer hours ago but we are still in cloud nine.
