The argument would be that Zelda's Adventure is top down and Wand of Gamelon is a side scroller. If somebody did actually believe this, they would likely explain the Zelda II discrepancy by saying that being a direct sequel to the original Legend of Zelda is the only thing making it mainline.
Well, it's finally happened.
Nintendo has finally caught up with the Philips CD-i.

No, because "Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon" and "Zelda's Adventure" exist.

We should start saying "drank from Rip's flagon" to mean "went to prison."

Correct me if I'm wrong; I haven't actually read any omegaverse, but I'm of the impression that most omegaverse stories take place in a world very similar to our own without taking into account all the effects on history the omegaverse systems would have and that's a little strange. It just seems like it would be immersion breaking to know that a story is ignoring that western civilization as a whole would be entirely different under omegaverse systems because Julius Caesar would 100% have been an omega.

There's probably at least a little correlation. I think the Z axis should correspond to depth and not height, most likely because I do a fair bit of math, and a coordinate plane has x as length and y as height. I can imagine there's a similar thought process for avid fans of side-scrollers or top-down games, albeit to a much lesser degree, because video games don't constantly wave in your face that you're working with x and y like math does.
I wonder how much correlation there is between whether your favourite 2D games are side-scrollers or top-down and where you think the Z axis in a 3D game engine should go.

Evil empire rule by a dynasty of deathless sorcerer-kings who actually have a below-average life expectancy for their species because they keep turbo-murdering each other to claim the secret of immortality.

Although I voted for Portal, I agree that more people need to play Hypnospace Outlaw. I put forth this song from an in-universe artist in hopes it will convince somebody:
youtube
what's your favorite game from a franchise with 0 entires in the "how many Super Mario games there are NOW?" form?
franchise is a weird classification artistically. it feels like a word that should be reserved for restaurant chains, not art
anyway idk this is too broad. probably either undertale or portal? or mother 3. or hypnospace outlaw. or clubhouse games 51 worldwide classics

I once saw this scratched into a stall in a Cracker Barrel men's bathroom. It's hard to see, but it says, "Married 2 Goku," followed by a heart.

As somebody who joined Tumblr in the current decade, I am stoked to be able to read recent Black Butler discourse firsthand. To my internet drama-obsessed self, it's like being able to see a concert from a band I love that broke up before I was born.

remember when larian put all the data together from the most popular character creator picks in bg3. and they thought there was a mistake, so they ran the numbers again, and no - the result was just authentically, in a world where you can be pink, and have glowing eyes, and horns, and a tail, the result was the most generic looking human white guy with brown hair

The closest option on the poll is Pinterest, but I actually joined when Splatoon 3 was announced because this is where they put Splatoon 2 news. Turns out they never used Tumblr for Splatoon 3 news, and now I'm just here to watch people fight.
Ok, so I've read everyone's tags and notes on my previous poll. I've taken them into consideration and I'm now prepared to offer.…

(Not necessarily directed at op) I think a lot of the reblogs here are needlessly mean-spirited. Is there anything actually wrong with picking a human without so called "special" characteristics other than that you believe it's a boring choice? People are allowed to make their character however way they want. Other people's wish fulfillment is not inherently worse than your own because they don't share preferences with you.

I think the biggest thing that's helped me to stop being annoyed by odd charactersation in fandom media is realising that much of it isn't really about its ostensible source material. It's basically a bunch of nerds re-inventing the commedia dell'arte from first principles. You've got roughly a dozen broadly sketched archetypes with pre-defined roles, and while they may appear in guises taken from popular media, it's really always the same "characters" in a variety of masks. Sometimes the Grumpy DILF wears a Bruce Wayne mask and hangs out in the Batcave; sometimes the Grumpy DILF wears a Luke Skywalker mask and has telekinesis; it doesn't terribly matter what Bruce Wayne or Luke Skywalker are "really" like in in their respective source material, because the persona is just a framing device – this week the Grumpy DILF is a superhero, next week he's a space mystic, and so forth. What will the Grumpy DILF be next?
