From what I know, if you tell the fae you’re name, they kind of “steal” your identity. But what happens if you say a random name? Do they just deny it or something? All I can imagine is something along the lines of:

Person: My name is ____.

Fae: No it’s not.

Person: Yes it is.

Fae: No. It is not!

Person: YES. IT IS!

Fae: You know what, fine. I’ll take it.

And someone randomly loses their identity.
