Grey boxing
grey boxing is used to get a basic general layout of the level, it is used before creating the art, to be sure that the game functions properly and accordingly to how the level designer intends.
I think grey boxing will definitely be a useful technique in creating my 3D level as it will prevent me from spending a lot of time on art design just for me to not like it in the end.

music themed games.
DOOM ETERNAL or DOOM are one of the games that use their soundtracks effectively in order to portray the mood of the game, for instance if you're just wondering around the music is somewhat subtle, but once you see and enemy on the first shot you take the music becomes more intense until all the enemies in the area are dead, the music used is also great as it really sets the mood of the game.
youtube
Another classic game themed around music is guitar hero, using the custom controller, the game gives timed events that you have to press in order, that go along with the rhythm of the song in the background
youtube
a game similar to guitar hero is Friday night Funkin, which is kind of a more keyboard controlled game and a cartoony version of guitar hero. but it is still a music themed game that uses the rhythm of the song as the timed events. its a smooth game however personally i think guitar hero is better as its timed events are more closer to the songs rhythm and overall just looks cooler.
youtube
Another game that is also similar to both of the games is Osu , however its a more simplistic version of the game so personally i don't think its as good as the two previous games, but just like the rest it uses the rhythm of songs as the timed events, which are hit with a keyboard, but it also has another version that is to do with moving your mouse at the right time in certain motions, which i think is quite cool
youtube
A classic mobile game most are familiar with are my singing monsters, a game which is based around making your own music, beats, and rhythm using different creatures that all connect together to make a custom song, each monster have their own unique tune, for example beats, or singing.
youtube
Another game that uses their soundtrack to set moods is Devils may cry 5, Much like DOOM when you're just roaming around, the music is calm, but once you encounter an enemy, the music becomes louder and more heavy until the enemies are all gone, the game is for a specific type of audience so I'm not really a fan but it does capture the mood using music well
youtube
Yet another similar game is Final fantasy VI remake, which once again also uses the music to set the theme of the environment, its another type of game I personally isn't interested in however it also captures the current mood and atmosphere.
youtube
A unique music game that separates itself away from the rest is called sound shapes, you play as this slime ball creature in a wrecked city where you climb up walls and collect music notes. damage items such as missiles move along with the beat of the song, which you have to avoid, voice notes are also used in the game as physical bridges to progress along the level, its quite hard to describe but the video explains it a lot better.
youtube
Another unique game that subtly uses music as themes is Billie bust up, for example in this boss fight, the boss is singing with music in the background while you have to avoid obstacles and jump on platforms and avoid the quick events where the boss tries to swipe, I think the purpose is to more set a theme of the boss and create a small sense of tension while you run away.
youtube
A really subtle game that uses music as a theme is actually quite noticeable, the game doesn't use any specific soundtracks to set moods or stuff like that, instead you play as one of the most famous music producers of all time, 50 Cent, where you didn't receive your money, and a gang is trying to take you out while you have to progress along and get the money, while the gae is quite old, it still plays amazing and the fact you play as 50 cent throughout the game is awesome.

First person games Pt.2
Minecraft is a prime example of a first person game, while the game itself is nothing that great compared to the previous games mentioned, it has the huge factor of nostalgia, however the animations itself are nothing special, however that does not make it bad, the whole idea of Minecraft is its a simple game, so the lack of details in any animation is actually good, as it stays with the theme of being simple along with the rest of the game, however the camera and cinematic view of Minecraft is just still, it doesn't implement any screen shake if in certain surroundings and etc. however it is a game that is loved by many and no matter its simplicity, the game overall is still enjoyable.
Another game that is set in first person however is still quite simple is the FNAF series, since the first one, the games have all followed a similar layout, where the vision is controlled by your mouse rather moving left or right, but apart from that there's nothing really else to it, the game itself is a horror game and for new players it can definitely be a scary game, the overall design is amazing and it gets even more points for the nostalgia, overall the game is also really interesting especially with those familiar with the whole lore.
Another game that displays first person cinematics is DOOM, along with DOOM ETERNAL, which are both really similar, just different content the camera stays relatively still throughout the game, but it has been that way since the first DOOM games, so I would assume its keeping the same features throughout the series, overall the utter chaos and mayhem the game provides never gets old and is constantly fun to play, the cutscenes are done well on how they jump from and back to the control of the player

First person games Pt.1
a first person game is a game where the view of the gameplay is seen through the characters eyes, games such as Farcry are set in first person to give the player a more realistic view of the game, in other instances, games like red dead redemption 2 and gta5 which are commonly players in third person, have settings to change the view back to third person
(first person camera angle of red dead redemption 2)
its a unique game because as previously stated it is commonly played in third person, but Rockstar Games allowing the cinematic view of first person again adds a whole new perspective of realism into the game, making the player envision what the protagonist sees.
Overall I believe Rockstar Games have created almost a perfect cinematic view of third person, especially with melee combat, gun combat, riding your horse and so on.
the same can be said about GTA5, which is also commonly played in third person, yet has the same settings to allow the player to play in first person
(first person camera angle of GTA5)
overall I think, considering the game was created 10 years ago, and only implemented the first person cinematic view a year later, while it is not perfect, it is still a good game that demonstrates first person.
Another game known for constantly being in first person is Farcry, as the series progresses, the cinematic angle for Farcry improves, and the game in general is a huge factor for that, for instance Farcry 3 compared to farcy 6
(cinematic view of Farcry 3)
(Cinematic view of Farcry 6)
it is visible over the years that overall animations and graphics have improved, I think Farcry is unique because all of its games were designed to only be played in first person, and they do an amazing job capturing minor details ranging from looking at the gun, your character gripping the gun, car wheel etc. making the Farcry series a prime example of a good first person game
another key game for first person is Subnautica, a survival based game which may also be interpreted as a horror for those with the fear of the unknown and water
(cinematic view of Subnautica)
Subnautica does an excellent job at capturing the unknown of the fictional planet your player explores, using the huge range of creatures you encounter add to the atmosphere, especially with the Leviathan(evil creature) which really makes you panic, I believe it creates this sense of fear due to the fact you are in first person, which creates a situation as if the player is you the overall animating with basic travel, interacting with items, cinematics and vehicle control are captured nicely
Speaking on topic of survival, another game that represents a good idea of first person cinematics is The Forest, while the animations are a bit fuzzy and plain, the game is overall good and playing it in first person is an enjoyable experience, for instance the combat in first person isn't the best, but smaller factors for instance cutting down trees is fairly good, considering or the time the game came out, i couldn't have highest of expectations, therefore The Forest is a well made game for its time and displays first person decently
(cinematic view of The Forest)

3 game over screens.
(GTA V)the infamous "wasted" screen has been used by Rockstar throughout all GTA games in the series, which says you have died.
(GTA IV)
(Minecraft) which says straight up that you have died, along with a score tab, under it allows you to respawn, or go to the main screen, however it would be different in hardcore, where instead it allows you to spectate the world, or delete it.
