This trade has been incredibly difficult for all of us, Tyson made a positive impact in so many people’s lives during the 8 seasons he spent with the Colorado Avalanche. He’s a gem of a human being, he deserves the best send off we can give him as he starts the next chapter of his career.
As a thank you to Tyson, I will be putting together a Shutterfly book filled with as many stories from fan’s sharing how Tyson impacted them. I have seen an insane amount of comments on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and tumblr, and I would love to compile as many as I can and give it to Tyson this fall.
Because this is a very big project and it will take some time to put together, I am asking that all submissions be in by no later than August 1st. I have set up an email address for everything to be sent to, [email protected].
Feel free to send pictures, I know a lot of people have drawings/paintings, whatever you want to include. Once it is put together I will post pictures of the final product.
PLEASE reblog this post, share it everywhere, I want to get as many people involved as possible.
Thank you to everyone in advance, this is going to be amazing, it’s what Tyson deserves!!
Hey @coloradoavalanche would you mind reblogging this? :)
Am I still devastated over Tyson being traded? Yes. Am I still crying over the fact that he is no longer on the Avs? You betcha. Am I looking forward to next season? Not really 😞
People are really out here trying to police fans on how to feel when their favorite player is traded. PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO BE UPSET. YOU'RE ALLOWED TO GET EMOTIONAL ABOUT SPORTS.
It’s finally hit me and I’m currently sobbing my eyes out.
You know, I was always telling everyone that he would never be traded, that he was too good of a player and a person, and he was such an important asset to the team.
I was sitting during the NHL Draft with those trade rumors in the air nearly having heart attacks whenever they had trade news to announce.
And you’d think that with every favorite player of yours that gets traded, it would get easier (this would be my third time now).
This. This is the toughest one I’ve been through. I hope that says something about how much I love Tyson Barrie.
Thank you for all of the wonderful memories, Tys. I will always be a fan, even when I’m in burgundy and you’re in blue and white.
Toronto. Leafs fans. Please take good care of Barrie. He’s a special one.
