I love the ship dynamic of the most powerful kickass girlboss imaginable, and a dude who’s playing Wii music in his head

I think most stories could benefit from having two characters whose relationship is just "those two guys" (gender neutral). Most of the time if you look for one of them you'll find both of them. They can hate each other or be the best of friends or something in-between but they just can't find that same spark with anyone else. Their relationship is best described as "do not separate them". They are fully fleshed out characters individually but if either of them are left alone without the other for any reason it feels so wrong.

Many dumb fictional men are immortal or at least long-lived, this is an adaptive mechanism to increase the likelihood of them figuring out they're in love with their best friend at some point before the heat death of the universe

specific ship dynamic that makes me insane:
chivalrous warrior who wears their whole heart on their sleeve & radiates devotion from every pore x the shifty bastard who would drown their own hands in an ocean of blood for the other one's sake without hesitation and never say a word about it
