I wasn’t sure what kind of books you wanted to read, and I panicked, so… here are eighty-nine books that I really enjoyed. I know I’ve left off a lot that were Very Important To Me(TM), but these are the ones that happen to be on my bookcase right now or in my Kindle cloud. Wait, shit. Add The Art of Asking by Amanda Palmer, The Buddha of Suburbia by Hanif Kureishi, and After the Witch Hunt by Megan Falley. And Rich Bitch by Nicole Lapin, if you’re into personal finance at all, I just finished reading that and it’s very good. 

Uh, my current reading projects are a) the Oxford English Dictionary, and b) a comparative analysis of Hitler’s Mein Kampf and Donald Trump’s The America We Deserve, Time to Get Tough, and Crippled America, because sometimes I read really fucked up shit that I hate so that I can overanalyze it later. (I wrote more than one thesis paper about heteronormativity and anti-BDSM sentiment in Fifty Shades of Grey when I was getting my degree, so that shows you where I’m at emotionally and probably psychologically.) But yeah! I like books! If there are any other genres you want to know about or any specific books on this list that you’d like to know more about, let me know!

When two people have a relationship, they are two people. They do not become one person, and they will always and forever have to work to maintain that relationship. That relationship is a fluid and changing thing that can stop existing or get complicated or unpleasant. Becoming a fan of a person and looking up to them and enjoying them is one thing, but being a fan of a relationship is a little bit of an incorrect idea. Relationships do not exist in the way that people do. People are real things while relationships are abstract and fluid ideas. So when one is a fan of a person, or two people who are in or may be in a relationship, that is an admiration that can be useful and beneficial to both you and the person they like. But being a fan of the relationship I don’t think is good for anyone because the relationship is an abstract thing that almost definitionally (because it is private) is very VERY different in the heads of the observer than in reality.
