New Year, New Me
Just kidding. I’m exactly the same.
But I’ve changed everything about my life with the exception of my kid, because I can’t trade him. (Not that I would...)
New Husband - The old one... It didn’t work out. It wasn’t working for a long time and we never saw the signs. (Aside from that I asked for a divorce a few months after we got married, and attempted suicide twice.Okay, we saw the signs. We IGNORED the signs, for Nick.) Two people who were just toxic together and hopefully WAY better with other people.
For a while I was dating half lovely half completely awful dude who had to leave because his Visa expired. And it was a pretty great rebound that would NOT have lasted long term. Because of the completely awful half. When things were good, he was cheerful and loving, but under any kind of stress he was really, really, mean.
I got married a few days ago to literally the most amazing person. We’ve been together for...oh...three months. It feels right.
New dog - His name is Pocket. I really miss Ralphy so bad, and I don’t want to talk about.
New house - It’s nothing to write home about. Because I am home.
Same kid. Same cranky, verbose, adorable, super annoying kiddo.
