🔎 kpop's new trendsetter : who's Aeri, ATEEZ's treasured princess ?

ATEEZ's maknae, Aeri, has currently one of the biggest impacts on the kpop industry. At only 17, she has accomplished things dreamt by many, such has fame, money, and success.

« before ateez, i had never had any siblings. i had always been kinda lonely, and i think i someone heard my prayers and brought them into my life » said Aeri when we asked her about her relationship with her members.

She came to korea at only 11, and became a trainee quickly after. Under JYPE at first, she met other idols, such as Stray Kids' BangChan or Twice's Mina. She confides that the two helped her a lot when she didn't know much korean.

When she arrived at KQ, her current company, she met Hongjoong, her captain, as she says, and he took her under his wing very quickly. Even now, she spends a lot of time with him, helping him to produce their songs.

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤWhen asked about her impact, she blushes and looks aways. « until recently, i hadn't realised that i had such a big impact on people. but i always read the letters fans send me. knowing that i could make someone's day brighter, even just a bit makes me wanna do even better for them. i'll forever be grateful for atinys to give me this life, but i still can't fully realise i have that big of an effect on people's life »

Her single album, Memorabilia, is very personal for her, and it was the first time she produced a song fully alone. Talking about her youth, nostalgia, and a certain melancholy towards her childhood, she hopes her songs resonate with her fans and they can find comfort in them.

Very inspired by her fellow members, like Seonghwa, and manga character Nana Osaki, Aeri sees fashion as a mean of self expression, but also as a way to change, evolve, little by little. She explains « when i'm feeling down, i look at my wardrobe, my pinterest board, and i sort my clothes. when i need a change, rather than disappear and create a new life, i change my style, even just a bit. i don't know if it makes sense but it's like by having a new style, i was a new me. it's a deep clean but easier, simpler. »

She admits to "borrow" clothes in her teammates' closests. She likes looking "feminine" while wearing male clothes. Alongside ATEEZ's oldest member, she wishes to make fashion unisex.

When asked about her dreamt partnership, she mentions Vivienne Westwood, and Clio.

though i lived in france for a bit, i consider london as my hometown. the city makes me feel at peace, safe, and all my closest friends live near me, which is also so nice. i'd say the city is a mix of modern and ancient, switching between light academia, and a more futuristic appearance.

2. What about you? What is your clothing style?

i like coquette/ fitted and elegant clothes. i also like simple, plain colours, such as white, beige, light gray or baby pink. i would say it's the same vibe as saranghoe

4. What are four things that you just HAVE to have, this can be lipgloss, a keychain, etc.

i always have my headphones on me, it's one of the things i couldn't live without. i also love my lippies, and though i have a lot, i love the rom&nd one. i have a sun necklace made of gold that i really love, mainly because it was made out of the jewlery of my family members. for my 13th birthday, one of my bestfriends gifted me a plushie keyring, that i love a lot. since then, it's always been on my bag and i love it dearly

ANAPOS is an island in the Mediterranean Sea known for its beaches, rivers, lakes and hospitality where the air is as fresh as the gentle sea breeze and nature never dies. A dream destination for many.

Aeri, real name Alice Jung, is the rapper and youngest member of the global group KATSEYE. Daughter of the actor Hae-in Jung, she caught the eyes of the viewers and ranked 2nd.
