AU where Thalia managed to get to camp with Luke and Annabeth, and as a result Luke never makes that mental switch from "I'm the Dad" (the thing he said at the end of Diary of Luke Castellan) to "I'm the big brother" (what he sees himself ass throughout the books) in regards to Annabeth.

Meaning that the Broken Trio basically just acts like a mini nuclear family all throughout camp 💀 But like, they don't even notice it. Like you see Luke carrying a sleepy Annabeth on his hip while chatting about training with Thalia and he will NOT see anything unusual with it. Thalia is cutting Annabeth's meat while Luke tells her to eat her vegetables and none of the three bats an eye. Luke and Thalia figured out a wake-up schedule for Annabeth's nightmare between them to get her back to bed and act like this is normal routine. After the three end up in separate cabins there have been MULTIPLE petitions within camp to just somehow put them all on the same table at dinner because Annabeth has a nasty habit of asking Thalia if she could get a dessert now when Luke said no, and thus just screams across the dining room. The only reason no one thinks that Annabeth is Thaluke's bio kid is because the ages don't match up. And even then camp wouldn't be surprised if Annabeth someday just starts calling the two Mom and Dad. They'd prepare for a future wedding if it weren't for the fact that Thalia and Luke already behave like they were married for 50+ years as their normal dynamic while remaining completely obvious to it. They are rumors that they are actually married in Vegas with fake IDs started by the Stoll Brothers.

also i will always bring up that he himself was a child soldier (bc let’s be honest what else would modern demigod heroes “trained” by chiron be) and all the campers he “brainwashed” were his FELLOW child soldiers

he didn’t form a child army he just stole the one that was already there CHIRON formed a child army he just refused to call it what it is

crazy how much rick had to do to make luke feel like the bad guy. "he's brainwashing young demigods!" percy: "get off this ship while you can!"

yeah asheiji is cute and i adore them but the relationship in banana fish that i am actually the most insane about is ash and max. because like. like. ash was groomed and raped and abused by damn near every adult man in his life up until he met max and ibe. the scope of that trauma is fucking breathtaking and heartbreaking. and then, ash meets max. and max looks at him and sees him for what he is: a teenager, a fucking child. and max, for all their banter and the rocky beginnings, shatters every single one of ash's preconceived ideas of how adult men treat him. because max cares about him. max protects him in jail. he stays with him in the prison infirmary. he calls jim out on his bullshit. he burns the photos. and ash calls him dad, mostly as a joke, but towards the end it's barely a joke anymore. max is the closest thing ash ever had to a real father. and it makes me insane.

oooooo that's so fun. i haven't written anything about that so i guess the main thing i have about it is more dynamics if that makes sense?? bc she can tell when people lie, luke never directly lies to allison he just talks around the truth. like saying things like "don't worry i'll handle it" when talking to her about the war/kronos. he also tells her "the fates fucked up with you" a lot around that time. it's like their little moto that he uses to make sure she understands she's worth more than what the gods want from her.

I saw your Allison oc and really attached to her, could I include her in a short oneshot?
