I don’t believe in boundaries. Not in art and not in intelligent communication. Producing art, in my view, is not about one subject or another, or one style over another, or one medium or another. Perhaps my view on this may change one day. But today is not that day. Grounded in reflection and aesthetics, my works are at times inspired by the histories of surrealism, minimalism and conceptual art. And yet in another instance, I may be triggered by street art and graffiti and prompt a series such as my works in Glitch Art. I think of my work as an accumulation of fragments that are part of a larger dialogue: objects, paintings, photographs, digital art, video etc. They are experimental grounds in which the object trouvé and manipulation of other mediums, marry, and are made to question our understanding of ourselves and the vast cultural environments that we inhabit. I strongly believe this can be achieved through knowledge and communication in a work. I don’t believe any of this has to be produced in any particular form or organized doctrine. Some of my arrangements are schematic in that they seek to provoke the spectator to speculate not only their understanding of the work, but also their appreciation of its approach, and its cultural importance. This speculation only encourages active, current references in my practice of imagination. I highly encourage speculation.
