Bathroom Lighting Ideas
CRYSTAL SCONCES AND SHALLOW CEILING LIGHT
The master bathroom sinks by Urban Archaeology have Dornbracht fittings in this glamorous West Village loft. The chair cushion is covered in a Holland & Sherry terry cloth, sconces and the ceiling lighting are 1960s Italian, and the floor is walnut.
SIMPLE SCONCES
Straightforward lighting provides striking contrast to this active Finnish wallpaper in the 1950s adorning the walls of this Manhattan apartment powder room, decorated by Katie Ridder. Hanging over a Waterworks sink that is simple yet stylish, a FontanaArte mirror echoes the wall colour.
19TH-CENTURY LANTERN
From the master bathroom in this Paris pied-à-terre, the circa-1760 rosewood-and-bronze writing desk and 18th-century gilded wood stool are all French, the pendant light is created from a 19th-century lantern, the shower doors are steel and the walls are sheathed in plaster that is striped.
GILDED CHANDELIER
A sculpture by Louise Bourgeois overlooks a bathroom in French architect Jacques Grange's Paris apartment. The chandelier is 19th-century; the bathtub, sink, and faucet are by the marble flooring and L'Epi d'Or relies on a pattern.
MID-CENTURY CHANDELIER
As a result of some brother architects, this apartment on Paris's Right Bank has a dark and moody aesthetic that updates classic French style for the 21st century. The master bathroom holds a 1950s American table, a 1960s chandelier, and also a Saarinen armchair. The niche is clad in hand-cut glass-mosaic tiles adorned with gold leaf, the walls are of Italian marble, and the floor is tiled with gold-leafed-glass and marble mosaics.
THREE PRONG CHANDELIER
Within an English country house, the guest bath has a tub and fittings reclaimed from another component of the manor; the drapes are of a James Hare silk, and the carpeting is from Ryalux.
