Day 1: First Day of Training and Orientation

Hola! This is Harris Gonzales and I am here to tell you my experience of being a student trainee doing the On-the-Job Training at Southern Sky Travel and Tours.

Today is November 10, 2018, Saturday, the first day of my training. But before that, I went to school to get my Certification of Recognition in Academic Excellence for the 2nd quarter. After the program, me and my friend, Frances Alon are waiting for Kumiko because she said that she will go to the school after the program.

After we see Kumiko, the three of us went to the faculty room to talk with one of the faculty teacher of Immersion regarding with the Memorandum of Agreement and Parent's Waiver. We have a problem because we don't have a copy of a parent's waiver. One of the faculty teacher said that our school cant release those requirements because our Immersion coordinator is not available today and she also said that the release of parents of waiver will be next week.

Our Immersion Coordinator said that we are not allowed to go in our OJT without the MOA and Parent's Waiver so we have decided to talk with our Academic Head. After that, we went to Southern Sky at exactly 12 o' clock in the afternoon. I approach Maam Razel and I said "Good Afternoon po". After that, we place our bags under the table. Our branch manager is Maam Precilyn Nacion but she is not around the workplace so Maam Razel will be the one who will instruct us about the things that we need to know more about their company. Maam Razel introduced herself to us. Maam Razel is the supervisor in our Travel Agency. She gave us a flyers containing the services offered by our travel agency. She gave us more time to review the flyers and she started to give us a task which is the releasing of PSA Birth Certificate, PSA Marriage Certificate, PSA Death Certificate and PSA Cenomar Certificate.

The agency offers VISA Assistance, Passport (New & Re-new), All Domestic and International Airline Tickets, All Domestic and International Tour Packages,2GO Tickets , NSO but later on it was officially change as PSA, Red Ribbon Authentication, Company Outings , Team Building and BI Assistance & Extensions.

Biographical Data

The intern named as Harris Gonzales. He is 17 years old. He is from Purok 5 Barangay Sto. Tomas Biñan Laguna. He was born on November 28, 2001 at Biñan Doctors Hospital. His religion is Roman Catholic.

He is an alumna of St. Gabriel Archangel Academy in the school year 2016-2017. In the year 2014-2015, he was part of the student council as a Public Related Officer(PRO). They are group of students who are elected by other students to represent them in school government and to help plan activities for the students.

He is doing announcements in every section if there are upcoming events in their school.He got different achievements in the field of dancing, as he got a medal and he was honored as the champion in Dance Sport on the said school. Another extra curricular activity he was included was the Drum and Lyre Band and member of Performing Arts Club.

He had a gold medal for being an Outstanding Member of both extracurricular activities. He loves dancing that is why he joined a competion which is the Lakan and Lambini 2016 and he performed an interpretative dance and he was awarded as Best in Talent.
