There is something outside, and it is not my mother.
Mother is on the couch. It is looking at me with her face. There’s no blood.

Jessica keeps buying mom plants. I don’t know if I should tell her that mom keeps giving them away. I don’t think she likes keeping things alive.

Plants are nice to see in the Desert though. I wish mom would keep them. I think she buried them somewhere like she does when she doesn’t like thinking about things.

I hate how I am exactly what she made me. I am the ship. I am not myself.

Found Something
Hey, I did that investigating into what could leave town. I had a bunch of people give me old photos and I found two so far that showed up on camera. Here’s one of some of Nancy Morrigan’s assistants with the children. I can’t believe she had help once.

My Apologies for Radio Silence
The reason for my absence was the experiments I have been doing. I am attempting to see what in Moribund I can record, and further, what I can send out of town. Moribund is picky about what it lets out, but I am going to test the limits of what is possible.

Mayor Time
I’m not surprised that Mayor Ceridwen got in trouble again, and we need to hold another election for mayor. He almost made it the four years this time.
We believe that Mayor Ceridwen was murdered by the organization I can’t yet name. We found the body, so we can go ahead with the election soon, likely without complications.
I feel bad for whoever gets chosen by the town, but their sacrifice is necessary. It always is.

I don't like the garage.
Mother asked me to grab some tools out of the garage today. Every time I go in there, I have to see all the bodies. From so young to very old, they all have my face. I know they aren’t alive, but sometimes I swear it feels like they’re begging me for... Something. To be less lonely, if I had to guess. In the winter, I cover them with blankets. I know how terrible it is to feel that cold. To feel that alone. God, the kids look so peaceful.

another event
A mysterious man was spotted outside the hotel. Gretchen thinks he was trying to get into Collymore and Johnson’s room. We don’t know who it is, but he was dressed in the organization’s attire. We got confirmation that these people are still around at least. The mayor is doing their best to keep everyone calm.

still no luck
An and Dio checked out the Above and Below today, I hope people going to places they hate doesn’t become a pattern. They wouldn’t want that. John and Colly weren’t there. We have patrols up on their road to make sure we know if those two come back. We know they aren’t dead, we know they can’t leave, and we know we aren’t in town. They aren’t anywhere, what are we going to do?

They investigated the old shack today
Jessica didn’t want to go back. Hell, Jack couldn’t go back. Everyone knows exactly how bad it could get if the guys were stuck in there. Fortunately, they weren’t. Jessica and Jack are in the hospital. Hopefully, nothing went wrong, and it’s just a precaution. Hate for all that to happen again. I wasn’t even here for it, and it’s still one of my biggest fears.

I got called home from school today.
I had to help mom mop up more blood in her workshop. Wish she’d stop building projects in the house and keep them in the garage like she said she would.
At least I have more time to work on finding Collymore and Johnson.

Story time
My girlfriend told me of a man who stretched and stretched so far and so fast that no one else knew what he was. She watched him stretch for what felt like hours, but they said no time had passed and that it did not happen. He stretched until he wasn’t a man anymore, or anything else. He stretched on, and then he wasn’t there anymore. But she saw where he was, and she decided to follow him. She followed the stretching, “not thing, not man,” until she got to Moribund. She can never go back.

I got to play football today. Normally I’m benched. I think they’re treating me differently because I’m doing something dangerous now. I don’t like that. But, I like that I’m being treated like a person finally.

Cassie is searching the woods. Besides the people born in there, she’s probably the only one who knows her way around in there. Even I don’t go in there without her help. Mom was searching the desert area around our house, though I told her to wait until her face stopped bleeding. I also don’t think they’ll find anything out here unless they are at the junkyard, but if they were, they’d be back by now. I’m looking around the town square, but there are enough people here that they would have been spotted. The Brightes are looking through the hotel room of Johnson and Collymore to see if there’s any clue there.
