How I usually end up shipping things: a step by step guide

Step one: wow character A is pretty attractive and I relate to them on a level that they’re gonna be my most favorite in this media! I just want them to be happy!

Step two: oh look character A had a happy/angsty bonding moment with character B in the past or present that to me translates as chemistry!

Step three: I now ship character A and character B because B makes A happy and that’s all I want for A since I relate to them!
