3 tips on how to store your meals and last them for 1 to 2 weeks!🙌🏻 . 👀If you are watching my IG stories, you’d know that I cook 1 to 2 weeks worth of food in a day so I don’t have to spend time each day for cooking. Many of you ask me how I store meals and how can day last for 2 weeks? . That is a good question and here are your answers👇🏻 1️⃣ Definitely keep them in AIRTIGHT containers (usually glass containers are the best in my opinion). 2️⃣ If you are preparing buffet style meals, reheat one serving at a time, instead of reheating everything and putting back in the fridge! 3️⃣ Cook batch of meals. Usually most protein sources like chicken, beef, turkey, fish are freezer friendly so the more you cook at once, the less you need to worry about cooking everyday! June has been more baking weather than beach weather so far! ☔️🧁While I am sad that my early summer tan is quickly fading, no one is complaining when I make a fresh batch of muffins. ⁣ ⁣ One of the most common questions I get with @myfitnesspal is how to create a recipe. TBH - unless I am baking something I rarely bother to go that in depth with it. Most often I enter my meals by entering the components and the percentage of the ingredients I am having. Example if the recipe calls for 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce and am eating a quarter of total recipes, I enter in 1 TBSP. I save the meals I eat most to be able to re-enter them quickly in the future.⁣ ⁣ But I digress. For baking, creating a recipe makes sense. ⁣ ⁣ 1. Open MFP and select “My meals, Recipes & Foods”.⁣ 2. Select “Create a recipe” at the very bottom. ⁣ 3. Create a name for your recipe and include how many servings it will give (you can edit that at any point you want).⁣ 4. Manually enter all ingredients. Scan all available packing and weigh everything on your scale.⁣ 5. Save your recipe and it will now be part of your Recipes on MFP. ⁣ 6. Add it in to your diary anytime you want.⁣ 7. Eat and enjoy knowing it can be all part of your plan!🍌💕⁣ ⁣ You can edit it anytime you make it. For example today I baked these « Honey Cinnamon Walnut Banana Muffins » by @ambitiouskitchen and used 1/4 cup of honey vs 1/3 cup and 1/3 cup of walnuts vs 1/2 cup (because I didn’t realize this was all I had left).
