Fun Vampire Fact; the reason that Vampires traditionally cannot see their reflections in a mirror is because mirrors used to be backed with a reflective layer of silver — which, as the metal of purity, would not ‘interact’ with Vampires, who are the Devil’s work.

However, modern mirrors have used aluminum as their reflective backing for many years now — and aluminum is not a ‘picky’ metal at all. So Vampires are able to see their reflections in modern mirrors.

If you have a child and they are creeped out by a nephew or older brother touching them or looking at them a certain way, you need to have a serious talk with that person and keep them the hell away from your child. Don’t minimize it or tell your kid to hug them anyway, that kid is picking up danger signals they don’t even understand yet. But so many families will tell that kid they are being a brat.

She’s been smashed into windshields, bounced off bonnets and slammed into the tarmac – more often than not wearing a tight dress and heels. When Baird got her first role, in Mr & Mrs Smith, she went shopping for stunt gear “like a guy”. “I bought the biggest, bulkiest pads, and thought, ‘Yeah, I’m protected, nothing’s gonna get me.’ Then I saw my wardrobe – I was wearing a miniskirt.”

quick reminder to all of you who take prescribed antidepressants, antianxolants, etc. Please, please, stay cool this summer. It is incredibly important that you remain hydrated and in the shade as much as possible to avoid overheating. Your meds can increase your body temperature. If you feel faint, get inside, lie down, and drink a glass of ice water. Your body is a lovely muffin that’s at that perfect stage of golden brown. DO NOT cook yourself.

my brother is sitting in the chair in my room studying a practice test thing for his final test before he becomes a fully certified EMT tomorrow and he’s mumbling some of the questions out loud and he just went “a child has fallen from a monkey at school…” and he just got dead quiet and stared at the wall for like a solid minute with the most stricken look on his face before he whispered “there’s no protocol for monkeys”

My last post on this didn’t feel urgent enough so:

I need writing commissions. My parents screwed my bank account over when they came to visit and I don’t get paid again until the beginning of July. I have bills and I’m living on my own this summer so I just…really need this? I don’t like to ask for handouts, which is why I’m doing this instead.

I do a dollar for every two hundred words (thats 5 bucks for a thousand word fic, 10 for a 2,000 word, and so on). I’ll do nsfw fics too; any fandom I’m familiar with is up for grabs (Voltron, PnF, Gravity Falls, PJO, Arrowverse, etc), any and all pairings and if you provide enough context I can attempt OCs as well. About the only thing I refuse to write are r*pe scenes.

DENGANG has drawn a series of interconnected comics on 2015′s Monkey King: Hero is back movie, and Journey to the West.

Starring - Jiang Liu’er who has grown into our Tang monk that shoots comebacks like a pro and must be protected, White Dragon Horse who takes no crap, a battle ready Bajie and a Wujing that still wears his nine human skulls like a fashion statement. They are all dad (and dragon mom) to a young orphan girl that they adopted upon their travels to the West. Also, Sun Wukong is there and he just follows them around like the boogeyman. Except he shows up to beat up bad guys and we all love him.
