I’ve known for a long time that I wasn’t completely straight. Ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been aware of the way I viewed other people - across different genders - and how that reflected something deeper about myself. But for a long time, I carried a sense of shame about it. Not because there’s anything wrong with being queer, but because I grew up in environments where that wasn’t always accepted, especially among boys (school). That kind of pressure sticks with you.

When I became a content creator, that feeling didn’t exactly go away. My sexuality isn’t something I’ve ever announced publicly or made central to my identity online - not because I’m hiding, but because I’ve never wanted people to see me differently because of it. Being pansexual doesn’t define the kind of content I make. It doesn’t mean I’m suddenly a “queer creator” first and everything else second. I just want to be myself - and try to be the best version of that.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to share this at all, but with Pride Month here, it feels right. Pride is about feeling secure in who you are and embracing your truth without fear. This platform feels like a safe space for me to share something personal.

Stories from Styx, my project, has been shaped by the work of so many amazing and talented queer people, and I want to honor them as well. So, if it wasn’t already clear - I’m pan. And I’m not ashamed of it. I just don’t want to be treated differently because I love people regardless of their gender.
