SAADET AKSOY AS VIKOMTESSZ VIKTÓRIA
"A woman who goes around wearing a knife is obviously looking for trouble." She reached deep into her pocket and brought out a long, slender piece of metal, glittering all along one edge. "However a woman who carries a knife is ready for trouble."

MAGNIFICENT CENTURY XXVIII: HATICE & MIHRIMAH SULTAN
the secret is not in your hand or your eye or your voice, my aunt told me once. the secret is in your heart. of course, she said, knowing that doesn't make it any easier. [Brian Andreas]

MELISA SÖZEN AS EFSUN HATUN
perhaps you will be a great woman like [...] me; [or perhaps] you will be like all women; uneasy in the world of men.

any woman who is sure of her own wits, is a match, at any time, for a man who is not sure of his own temper.

FAV FITS: VIKTÓRIA'S PALE PINK KAFTAN
Featured → Magnificent Century: Episodes 9-14 Description → Viktória's pale pink, peach, white and magenta kaftan. The sleeves are detachable, and alternate between slashed silk and a draped shawl made of the same material. The belt is also changed from a simpler floral chain design to a fabric belt with a large gold buckle, with both styles having corresponding jewellery. When in the presence of non-harem attendants, she covers her hair with a shawl made of the same material as the sleeves.

1 and 4 for MC for the Get to Know Me?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
GET TO KNOW ME[ME] → FAVOURITE SCENE (4)
this scene got me into magnificent century, no joke. it was randomly recommended to me on youtube, and I clicked, and I was hypnotised. even without the meaning I now know it has, the way it was structured, the escalation, the beauty, the power in meryem's performance and the impudent rage in selma's, the horrified awe of everybody else, it is perfect. and now, there's the added bonus of knowing this was the moment where hurrem finally stopped playing nice. knowing her worth, standing up for herself, unafraid and having fully embraced the fight she had been dragged into. the hand-catch, the sarcastic little curtsey, the way she opens the doors to see everybody staring, and then walks off without a word like a BOSS. sheer perfection.
