You ever think that maybe if Ran hadn't tried to kill Jackie in chapter 6 and instead they cleared things up and actually got together Ran would have nightmares every night because the council would try to talk to him and he'd try to block it out and he'd wake up screaming and crying whenever they caught him and Jackie would try his very very best to comfort him even if Ran would refuse to tell him about the nightmares because the idea of Jackie thinking he's the reason Ran is in pain would be just the worst thing in the actual world?
