A darker and darker and darker world.

Hello! Been a minute since i posted here and i thought a dump of some of the things i've been doing might make up for it! Two months ago now my drawing tablet finally kicked the bucket and it's been a little hard to make exactly the things i want, but as you can see i've been making do just fine with my mouse, trying to do my best at least!

What you see here are concepts for a Chapter 6 of DELTARUNE, set in the shelter. Below is a condensed description of the idea behind it, which has been brewing in my head for a few years now, fueled by the release of the newer chapters solidifying my own expectations for what can be found in the depths of this world.

"This world is a culmination of weirdness made for YOUR entertainment, to follow a new legend, one that doesn't have to end, darkness in it's strongest, most unapologetic and fantasious form. A labyrinth of maple trees obstructs any breathing room as they watch you, a city of circuit boards puzzles you at every corner, and at WORLDS' EDGE, the cold, unforgiving Crystal Cliffs, radiating shadows. As if in imitation, the land itself watches, tests, then faces you.

It's inhabitants are abstract, anything can become a darkner here, with a shadow so strong an object's silhouette can reveal itself as something completely detached from what it's Light World counterpart really is. The mind is the limit, therefore, it's limitless.

It's fountain supercedes pureness, it is the deepest depths, strengthened by ROOTS, a darkness concentration plant, with curiosity as it's fuel. Shadow erupts from it's mechanical chimneys, covering the entire land's above view with a glistening, starry eyed "sky". It is guarded by THE DOCTORS and immediately makes a connection with every new fountain, reaching it's metaphorical (and literal) hands through all of Hometown, always touching by it's roots. All of this mastered, administered, by Him. For you. Your own illusion of choice to make. but, of course, He couldn't possibly really be in there..."

Things you can watch/do instead of YouTube, For those who may have trouble finding things to do.

1. Internet Archive. Has plenty of videos to watch, plenty of games you can play that are emulated right on the website. You can also find entire collections of roms. For emulators, check out Emulation General Wiki to find the best emulator for the system you want to emulate.

2. r/piracy has a wiki full of safe places to read comics and manga, to watch anime and cartoons, and to watch movies.

3. Virtualbox, you can set up a Windows XP virtual box and get old PC games from Internet Archive. You can also check out CD Game World if you need a no-cd patch.

4. Saltybet. A Livestream of MUGEN with thousands of characters fighting against each other, sometimes things get hilarious. Runs 24/7.

5. The Cutting Room Floor, spend hours reading up on cut content from your favorite games.

6. Lost Media Wiki, read up on lost movie, books, animation, video games, etc.

7. Neocities, learn coding and make your own website!

8. WebDSR, explore shortband radio

9. Radio Garden, listen to radio stations from around the world

10. Every Noise At Once, explore the widest archive of music genres, with samples and Spotify playlists

11. My Retro TV, pick and era and watch popular television from that time period

I have an old drawing! The face is roughly something like this… And his body

He is a simple structure with simple shapes attached to a basic stickman. Rather than worrying about the details inside… I'd be more comfortable drawing the silhouette of his costume based on basic human proportions :3

I know I say that I'm kinda nuts for doing the amount of visual research I do, but at the same time: Specificity is SO much more compelling and real feeling, and imo not getting references often makes things look more amateur.

Eg. drawing a sofa- my mental image of a sofa is something like this:

Like. Its a sofa. It works. But it's not very convincing, the pillows are kinda wrong at the back, and it's not really giving any information about the owner. Even if you want a basic sofa... What kind of basic.

Anyway I'll get off my soapbox but specificity is sexy and fun and it can do your storytelling for you!

Daily Check in 08/05/2025 MasterCard got REALLY Spicy with me today. As soon as I mentioned Itch io and Steam to the first rep he HUNG UP. The second one I called was apologetic and filed my complaint ticket, but WOW. They are getting really tired of these calls. Which means KEEP IT UP! PayPal was much less spicy with me today, and filed a complaint ticket for me and offered to send me a list off all the stuff they won't process. Which is really just a list of the things they require APPROVAL to process, which is very different. Lot of false information going around over there and they're back to playing dumb about the situation with Itch io and Steam. Which means we need to keep the pressure on. Strip still refuses to take the call, and Visa just read the script and hung up as usual, though I was able to make me direct me around the sight a bit first. They even

directed me to their website where they have a fun little article about the situation called "Combating Illegal Adult Content." https://corporate.visa.com/en/about-visa/visa-network-integrity.html You'll need to scroll down a bit to find the article. When I asked what illegal content they were combating, I was directed to send them an email about that question and they finished the script and hung up.

Keep calling and keep asking questions! Don't let their excuses go unchallenged. This about about "illegal activity" this is about censorship and we can only fight it by making our voices heard!

remove bloatware on windows PC, macOS, and iOS X

use pixelfed instead of instagram or meta

use NCH suite for free software like a file converter, image editor, video editors, pdf editor, etc.

Besides regular animation techniques like overshoot, smear frames, etc, I do have Spamton-specific animation "rules" I try to keep in mind for myself.

is this an excuse to draw him a little...? maaaayyyybbbbeeeee.... are you gonna complain? NO. Cause that's what you're here for. It may seem short.. um.. because I think im forgetting something... but maybe I'm mistaken and I usually just bunch these up with his general mannerisms like talking with his hands a lot. or talking. a lot. you can gather the jist... This is excluding stutters in his movement because I don't FULLY fully animate him to the extent he'd have enough motion to include that and NOT have it just look like an error rather than intentional. BUT if I did he would.
