My predictions for who the two new hermits will be:

Skizzleman and TheMythicalSausage - this one's pretty much the safest guess. They've both worked with multiple hermits before

SmallishBeans and LDShadowLady - This one's another obvious one. I think their dynamic would make the server even more chaotic

Stampylongnose and Squaishey - These two are much less likely to join, but I'd be interested to see what they'd do on the Hermitcraft server

GoodTimesWithScar and Mumbo Jumbo - It's a pretty safe decision to add them as new members, considering they're already on the server

HBomb94 and CoughingBaby94 - HBomb is already friends with multiple hermits, and these two are basically a package deal

Iilluminaughtii and James Somerton - It's not like they have anything better to do

Two additional, smaller Grians - They can follow Regular-Sized Grian around and crack jokes

Two random dudes who have never played Minecraft before - It would be nice to give the smaller creators a spotlight

Every member of Quackity SMP fused into two giant flesh abominations - This could be an exciting way to bring the whole mcyt fandom together like never before

Doctor Dre and Snoop Dogg - Name a more iconic duo. I'll wait

Nebraska Man and Piltdown Man - Don't let the fact that they're well-known archaeological hoaxes fool you, these two are accomplished builders and redstoners, and they'd fit in well with the current server members

Ometecuhtli and Omecihuatl - It would be interesting to see what fun new dynamics two primordial Aztec creation deities bring to the server

The human personification of existential dread and fear of the inevitable passing of time and Martyn InTheLittleWood - both are familiar faces in the Hermitcraft community, and it's only a matter of time before they properly become hermits

I got super inspired and kinda went a bit wild with this. It ended up being much more work than my original doodle but I am actually pretty pleased with the result!

Grian after escaping the Watchers

i love when a character has something terrible happen to them and as a result they see themself as, essentially if not literally, a ghost. and so that means they only can (and have to) do what ghosts do, ie get revenge and then cease to exist. easy as that. but then halfway through this ghost vengeance they realize hey actually i might still be a human person. with human needs. that’s incredibly inconvenient, considering how much i’ve invested in this whole ghost thing

So curious if Martyn has ever pulled Jimmy aside during one of the life series and just been like “dude. You need to die first. Please. For the bit.”

Can I... talk about the theory that winners help craft the next game?

Because, and I really can not say this enough, it puts So Much into perspective.

Everything starts out Normal. Three lives, simple, cut and dry, there hasn't been a winner yet. No one to help craft the game. (And there's something to be said about how simple it really was. Not even a real expectation of the world becoming pvp or combative. No idea of the war to come)

Then Grian wins. The green killer, the man who vowed his first life to the one whose life he took. The next game the boogie man is born. A mechanic that allows and, in fact, demands, a green kill. People can trade lives back and forth, currency and debt wrapped up in one. (can we still be friends? Said the red partner. A life time later and reds are hostile, alone. Maybe it's an answer: No. Not anymore)

Scott wins this time. He refuses to play the game. He will not kill his team, he will love and he will do so fiercely and with all of himself. The next game people are attached through to their very souls. Every bit of damage to one soul is done to its twin. There is no boogeyman. (There is no way for a widow to be left without their love)

Pearl wins and she wins a blood bath. Spent the game draped in red, only wolves for company. Sitting in her tower, shivering in ice, maybe she wanted it to end. To see where it would. Limited life rewards you for killing, limited life has a clock tick tick ticking down, you always no how long you have. A curse yes, but a blessing too.

Now It's Martyn's turn.

And what a turn it is.

Keep your secrets, says the disloyal man, keep them well. Everything hurts, everything Matters, says the man fracturing with every loss. (What if we could love each other without hurting? Says The Hand, who never wanted to be coated in blood)

More importantly, Martyn has always seen the watchers below the surface. Now, they're right here in front of him. Something that could almost... be rebelled against, no? Something that someone else could finally point to and say: hey, hey isn't that familiar?

Grian had to dive forward to avoid Scott’s tail as the Seawing swung around, blinking away grit kicked up by Scott’s pounding talons.

“Wait!” Scar shouted, nearly trampling Grian in his rush to catch up. Grian pushed himself to his feet with shaky breaths, but managed to push himself forward, quickly bypassing Scar.

“We don’t have time. Martyn will be out of the game if we stop and talk,” Scott hissed, his legs and wings catching on the thick foliage, his larger stature hindering his progress through the forest. Grian jumped and ducked under the branches and vines, adrenaline enhancing his agility until he blocked Scott’s path, flaring his brightly colored wings.

“Martyn won’t be out of the game, the Nightwatchers-”

Another scream cut Grian off, making both dragons flinch.

“He can’t heal! He can’t defend himself, and the Nightwatchers hate him.” Scott towered over him, Grian’s confidence vanishing almost instantly. His silhouette was terrifyingly reminiscent of Martyn, and it was all too easy to imagine those claws ripping through his chest.

anyways. in evo canon the watchers aren’t actually associated with purple themselves. it’s the color of the series because the portals are purple. the watchers are blue and green respectively, and when grian becomes one he is red.

and now what else is associated with red? the secret keeper.
