      A flash of concern upon her features and a most gentle shake of her head allowed the exposure of her disbelief to shine free. Only a pure form of worry made itself present inside of an open heart -- her friend was known for being reckless and this situation had not helped free her of that characteristic.

          THE SMIRK that crept along his lips was smug, the rosy tint adorning her cheeks did not go unnoticed but Jesse kept his mouth shut There was no reason for him to ruin it when the gesture itself was supposed to be gentlemany in its essence. 

              But he listened as she talked, his head cocked to the side with genuine interest pooling around the amber swirl of his eyes. He didn’t knew much about the scientific part of Overwatch outside of maybe Winston and Angela and it was partly his fault for never showing any interest in it. But as a foot soldier, operating from the shadows of Blackwatch, he never really got the chance to seek out more. It would be interesting to know what the rest of them did while they fought the ugly battles. ❛ You’re quite the optimist, aren’t you? ❜ He began, smile turning into something far kinder. It wasn’t so much as an observation as it was an admittance of admiration; it took more than he was willing to give to keep a positive outlook on life and anyone that did deserved praise from him. ❛ Yeah, can imagine getting a budget now would be a kicker. The rest of your team scattered ‘cross the world like the rest of us? ❜

      A hitch of her breath accompanied with a nervous shift of her eyes and a sudden dry mouth. She hadn’t really liked to talk about her previous crew. The events to have occurred to her previous station and its occupants had all but plagued the climatologist and her attempts at sleep. Deafening silence passed over the woman for a mere moment ;; quick thinking the only thing to save her from an explanation of her sudden mute.

❝是的 .  ❞  A nod of the head signaled her acknowledgement to his question.  

 ❝  It has been some time since I have seen them all properly , but I am sure that they are all doing the world some good in a way nowadays ,  ❞ A bubbly chuckle left her, echoing into the air as a way to keep a lighthearted mood upon them and their conversation .  ❝ Though, I am willing to bet that they miss the best part of our job . . . our small interactions with the enviorment's ( that we were studying at the time for clues ) animal friends ! ❞

    A generous glow made it’s way present to her cheeks -- the contact to her hand having been the cause, as she hadn’t expected him to do something along those lines; however, she shook it off immediately and continued to smile kindly in return .

                               With a quick clearing of her throat, she began;     ❝ It has been quite well ! Though, I am having a bit of difficulty keeping up with all of the current changes in the world on my own. It would probably bring a load off if I had a bigger team to work with like before, but it seems that the unit is lacking nowadays . . .❞  Her words seemed to trail off and a nostalgic look came forth; but in the split second that it was there, it was gone, replaced by her usual cheer . ❝  That’s okay though ! I am sure that we can persevere, even with such a shortage . ❞

            JESSE SMILED appreciatively of her decision not to pry; it wasn’t much of a sensitive topic for him as it was awkward and more often than not he would find himself unsure of what to say having left before it all blew up – unfortunately very literally. A quick glance down at the offered hand and his smile turned into a smirk, the hand taken and turned, brought to his lips in a greeting. 

                ❛ Pleasure’s all mine, ma’am. ❜ He spoke, releasing her hand a moment later and straightening up. ❛ So how’s that environment treatin’ ya? ❜

         ❝ Really? That sounds very interesting! I haven't heard much about that division in sometime, but I won't pry. Anyways, I am Mei !  ❞ An extended arm and open palm signified that she wished to give him a friendly handshake. It'd been awhile since she had seen any new faces around, so this was a welcomed meeting on her part.             ❝ It is nice to meet you too, Mister Mccree.  ❞

           He snapped his fingers, body leaning backwards as realisation hit him, though he found himself struggling to put a name to her face. ❛ Oh, you were on the nerdy side of Overwatch? Must have seen ya at a party or somethin’, I used t’work for Blackwatch back when it was still a thing. Well, it’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance ma’am, name’s Mccree. ❜
