After the gloomy crater we swung around to the south side of the peninsula, where it was sunny. There is actually a small glacier on the mountain here. But I think we just saw white clouds over the snow peaks, Also, more mystery rocks.

Next we went around the far west end of the peninsula to the shattered xxx mini volcano.

The next thing was this mountain/waterfall combo that is apparently a location in Game of Thrones, a show we haven’t seen.

Thursday morning jumping around and then re-stocking supplies on the way to the Next Thing in Grundarfjorour.

Back on the road to the xxx peninsula in west Iceland. The drive included a tunnel between Reykjavik and the peninsula that went under a fjord. We’ll be in this nice cabin for two nights.

Wednesday morning the storm had slowed and we realized we could see the glacier from our hotel.
