- No soy más que un papel - dijo-. Fino y frágil. Si me sujetan a contraluz, el sol brilla a través de mí. Si escriben en mí, ya no pueden volver a utilizarme. Estos arañazos componen una historia. Un relato. Cuentan cosas que otros pueden leer, pero ellos solo ven las palabras, y no el soporte en el que están escritas. No soy más que un papel y, aunque hay muchos otros como yo, ninguno es identico a mí. Soy pergamino reseco. Tengo pliegues, tengo agujeros. Si me mojan, me deshago. Si me prenden fuego, ardo. Si me cogen unas manos curtidas, me arrugo. Me desgarro. No soy más que un papel. Fino y frágil.
