Mga kapitbahay! Totoo ang chismis!!! 😂 Everything in this tray is so good! So proud of Jeri, who’s a former colleague from TR and the owner of @ahana.ph! Not in the picture, but we also tried the Dark Nama Chocolate from @chumoto.ph and OMG I literally had to stop myself cos I could easily finish the whole thing! This is not a paid ad LOL! But friends, if you’re in Metro Manila, please go check out their menu. I promise it’s worth the wait! Congrats, Jeri!!! 🥰 https://www.instagram.com/p/CQkrfBlnvHtvK09RG8RoYFY3YbU-bLM1HWwBT00/?utm_medium=tumblr

I SWEAR COULD LOOK AT THIS SLEEPING ANGEL FOR HOURS! 😍 Say hello to our little princess at home, Cirilla Aletheia Beatriz M. Soriano! Firstborn daughter of Atimik and Antz, lion cub of Mandaluyong City! 😂 At one week old, she already made her presence known to all residents of Tivoli with her roaring voice. She became the reason why her parents didn’t have neither decent sleep nor proper meal for the past week. I bet they are exhausted, but still over the moon and happy to be of service. We love you Cirilla! Tita Ice is here to take pictures of you! 😘 I’ll also bake cupcakes to reward your parents for doing a great job in taking care of you. 🧁 https://www.instagram.com/p/CCIBk4gJ7UBcHhJc-6IPtKM8v2U1_dRR1eAgRo0/?igshid=ag8bjzn88qwg

Today marks the end of Phase 2. I can’t believe it has already been 6 months since I started this cancer journey. Quick recap. Phase 1 of chemo started last November 2019. Every 21 days, I go to The Medical City with Jeg, usually at 6 AM, for treatment. The chemo unit opens at 8 AM, so we just chill and wait at the lobby till the nurses call my name. For Phase 1, those sessions from November 29 until January 31, they gave me drugs called Doxorubicin and Cyclophosphamide, along with premedications and post-chemo meds that were all administered through my chest port. Phase 2 was delayed by 1 week because my immune system became weak. Sessions went on from February 28 until today, April 30. Drugs administered were called Paclitaxel and Trastuzumab, again with pre- and post-chemo meds as well. Thanks to Porty, the portacath implant on my left chest, we got to preserve the thin veins at the back of my hand. My veins became swollen and damaged last year when I had 3 consecutive surgeries in a span of 1 month. The last 6 months passed by so quickly, but some days seemed slow. Things would’ve been more difficult for me if I was still living on my own in my apartment in Makati. Despite everything that happened, I still feel blessed to have such a strong support system. Jeg, Atimik, Antz, friends, colleagues - I always carry with me your prayers and words of encouragement every step of the way. HUGE THANK YOU to all of you who made me feel that we’re fighting this battle together. If there’s anything good that came out of this lockdown because of the pandemic, it is that we all had the chance to spend quality time with our families. Plus, I didn’t get too FOMO because y’all are stuck at home like me mwhahaha! 😈 Phase 3 will start next session with just Trastuzumab. This will last until February 2021. No more delays this time, hopefully!🤞 Thanks again to those who keep praying on with me. May the Lord bless your soul! 😇 Happy long weekend! #LaboracaySaBahay 😂 (at The Medical City) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_l79CPJqkB2hBAn_f9mTsP5vl8SV5scW7yPOg0/?igshid=i9jp0gzvo69o

We couldn’t order a birthday cake anywhere so we made one for her today! Our DIY yema cake made from ingredients we have at home! The “Cake” 1 box 400g White King hotcake mix 1 1/3 cup fresh milk *Mix together in a bowl. Use butter to grease 2 round cake pans. Pour the cake batter into the pans then cover with foil. Steam bake using an oven or rice cooker. (We used both LOL!) Let it cool. Stack the cakes to create a bit of height. The “Yema Frosting” 1 can 300mL Alaska condensed milk 3 egg yolk 3 drops of vanilla extract *Cook in low heat. Stir constantly to get the yema consistency. Let it cool. Scoop and spread on the cake. Top with grated Eden Cheese. And a birthday candle. Tadah!!! 😂 Special thanks to Geralt of Rivia from #Witcher3BloodAndWine LOL! ⚔️ https://www.instagram.com/p/B9_t0l6Jged6MxZufq2v2qxUlAHFY7z1HftHUs0/?igshid=17at4st02jjpf

I know we’ll travel the world again someday. But for now, let’s celebrate your birthday weekend at home watching TV and eating home-cooked meals. Happy birthday yesterday, Atimik! Thank you for being the most caring sister and neighbor ever! 😘 (at Grindelwald, Switzerland) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9-zU2yJ4AQG55Qc7bMyg8WqdAI1Eu2k5juD7s0/?igshid=1j59152h5ksf3

My 6th chemo session earlier today went well. Good thing @antz529 drove us to the hospital at 6am because there’s no public transpo available. Even if the Cancer Center at The Medical City seem safe, we still felt a little paranoid of the veerus. I hope it goes away soon becuse it makes it even harder for immunocompromized patients like me to go anywhere. Thanks to @jegegoy who did all the errands while I was at the chemo unit. Shoutout to @jeroldjusto for visiting me at Room 6. Thanks also to @antz529 and @iammicmendoza who waited in the car until I’m done so that the four of us can go home together after our separate hospital appointments. Today is Atimik’s birthday and yet she spent almost half of it at Makati Med for her lab tests before going to TMC. When this quarantine is over, let’s have a more decent birthday celebration okay?🎂 (at The Medical City) https://www.instagram.com/p/B99JVxjJyuRhy9L0XhFLRgnSd6vW9GTpZGiE8Q0/?igshid=f9mto4g10q4t

✔️Chemo no. 5, check! Today is the beginning of the second part of the treatment. New drugs, new side effects, new challenges. The session lasted for 5.5 hrs, twice longer than the previous ones. But I was able to nap, so I feel fine after. I’m rly just hungry.🤪 I was supposed to come here last week but my onco decided to reschedule because my immune system was low. I felt like a student who didn’t review for a quiz because I failed my blood test.😂 Good thing my caregiver aka @jegegoy already learned how to inject the subcutaneous drug I have at home, which improved my blood test results after just one week. I was also on complete house arrest the whole time. I miss my friends! I miss going to the mall to buy groceries, window shop, and eat out! I only go out of the unit when I need to visit my neighbors next door, @iammicmendoza and @antz529 hahahaha! There’s still so much to be thankful for. Let’s continue to spread good vibes, not virus! Happy Friday! ❤️ (at The Medical City) https://www.instagram.com/p/B9GmlyzJWj4gGsbDFWPJw8ITVZfcsk_yidYpQI0/?igshid=agj3rrn7eixe

✔️Episode 4, check!!!! Part 1 of chemo ends today. Get ready for part 2! 🙃 So glad that the year of January is finally ending today, too. Let’s start over and spread more good vibes! ❤️ Also, that sleeping night owl at the back will leave tonight for another mountain adventure with our friends. They’ve been planning this reunion/comeback climb for a while so I bet everyone’s excited. Good luck! ⛰ (at The Medical City) https://www.instagram.com/p/B7-AXjuJJu0ZCHc5aMEnibpHvi85DwZ99fLilM0/?igshid=gnq3i4xcah9s
