LIFE STORY .

the prince and the showgirl . rich boy meets ingenue , and is driven head over heels with lust for the opera chorus girl . it ‘ s just like the movies : jet setting , fine dining , a summer of love , and violent delights . . . except in this movie , she doesn ‘ t get the guy . turns out , he had been engaged the whole time --- he ends up marrying her , and she ends up destroyed , pregnant , and alone .

first comes love . when she tried to confront her once lover , he sent her away . surely , he said that the baby could be as much his , as any other man she had been with . only that the way he said it was very unkind . long story short , he will not be acknowledging the child as his own , nor affronting any responsibilities . out of a job , broken - hearted , and alone --- damla learns to fall in love with herself , and the life growing inside her .

into the wild . she arrives on a stormy summer night to the hospital . frail , pale , and alone . it is no surprise that she dies a few days after the complicated eighteen hours of labor . surviving her , a beautiful dark eyed baby boy . she names him harran : singing . with no known relatives , the orphan , like many others around the country , is thrown into the system without a second glance .

the orphan . if growing up in the foster system teaches you anything , it is to look out for yourself . always look out for yourself . passed around from home to home all around tartarus . he doesn ‘ t like to talk about it , and whatever it is he went through , he keeps to himself . throughout his bringing up , the only constant : the city . and the streets he would run to inbetween homes .

street rats . it really is the streets that raise him . they give him his first friends . kids in the same situation as him . they take them away too . it is where he learns to survive . how to smile , how to fight , when to be quiet and when to be loud . his specialty , though , was always stealing : stealthy , and disarming . shop lifting , pick - pocketing , you name it --- he excelled at it . it ‘ s this that catches the eye of titan thieves , and they recruit him as soon as he turns eighteen .

edge of tomorrow . and so , his life is on the up and up . a thief , minor assignments --- and then starts dealing . . . soon come missions , and bigger assignments . he catches many eyes higher up . . . and he climbs higher , and higher . until he gets to where he is now . has he done things he ‘ s not proud of ? yes . but rule number one has always been : look out for yourself . you always look out for yourself .
