The Goobs! Episode Idea List

(Will be updated whenever I think of more episode ideas. If these were real episodes they’d be 2 11 minute episodes in a 22 minute runtime, unless otherwise noted)

Season 1

S1E1a - “Strongholds and Sea Monsters and Stuff”: The Goobs play a hectic game of this show’s version of DnD (Strongholds and Sea Monsters and Stuff).

S1E1b - “Cuboid at the Bat”: Mr. Cuboid practices his baseball skills in his front yard, and then Wilma and the Goobs stop by to ask what he’s doing. He brags to them that he’s the best baseball player in all of Gumdropia, and tells the Goobs that he could beat them all at baseball. Wilma says “Yeah, you probably could!” but Mr. C thinks it’s sarcasm, so he challenges her and the Goobs to a baseball game. Mr. C makes a deal with Wilma that if he wins, she and the Goobs have to move away from Gumdropia forever. And Wilma says that if she wins, Mr. C has to wear a sweater that says “I lost to the Goobs at baseball!!” (Remy knitted it, and he knitted a picture of an angry Mr. Cuboid on it LOL) for a week (Remy suggested to her to say that if Mr. C loses, he has to leave Gumdropia, but Wilma decided on something equally difficult for Mr. C to do). So yeah, the Goobs have to try to win, but thankfully it doesn’t seem like Mr. C is nearly as good at baseball as he says he is.

S1E2a - “Eggventure!”: On their way back from laser tag, the Goobs come across Egg, who’s just anxiously lying on the street. Egg’s lost bc he lost his map, so the Goobs try to get him back to his house. The only problem’s that the Goobs don’t know where his house is either.

S1E2b - “The Most Annoying Episode Ever”: The Goobs are playing Jengopolyship (a fusion of Jenga, Monopoly and Battleship) at Remy’s house. Remy goes out to get snacks real quick, but he suddenly gets pulled into a portal by a star guy named The Star, and is taken to a world filled to the brim with annoying animated movie cliches. Remy and The Star have to save Funny Talking Animal Land from Evil Villain the Evil, Evil, EVIL Villain and CEO of Totally Evil Corporation (who’s a dragon that looks like a generic animated film villain) because he’s gonna take over Funny Talking Animal Land and make it a rule that everyone has to be evil.

S1E3a - “The Great Egg Detective”: When Carl’s surfboard goes missing, he asks Harley and Eileen for help. Now they’re on the case and they’ll stop at literally nothing to find said surfboard.

S1E3b - “Evenstar’s TV”: Remy accidentally breaks Evenstar’s TV, and goes to the Land of Time to try and undo his mistake. He borrows Clark’s time machine, but since the controls are incredibly hard to figure out, and Remy immediately started using it before Clark could tell him how it works, Remy goes on a crazy journey through time in order to find the time right before he broke Evenstar’s TV.

S1E4a - “Perfect Day”: When Wilma and Carl are busy for the day (Wilma’s shopping for invention parts and Carl’s at a surfing contest), Remy and Evenstar decide to spend the day hanging out together. The only problem is that wherever they go, something stupid and/or chaotic is happening.

S1E4b - “Wilma Through the Looking Glass”: When Wilma buys a new mirror for her bedroom, she soon finds out that it’s also a portal to a dimension where everyone’s personality is the opposite of what it normally is (I.E. Mr. Cuboid is friendly and thoughtful, and Egg is heartless and afraid of nothing). She tries to go back through the mirror, only to see that it mysteriously vanished. Now she has to find another way back to her home dimension.

S1E5a - “How the Labyrinth Was Fun” (14-minute episode): The Goobs and Mr. Cuboid all inexplicably wake up in a giant funhouse labyrinth, so the Goobers enjoy said labyrinth while also trying to find a way out. Mr. C just wants to leave and isn’t enjoying the place, like, at all, so Wilma and Carl try to convince him to live a little.

S1E5b - “An Evening at the Park” (7-minute episode): In this mostly nonverbal episode, Mx. Spencer spends their day off at the park, relaxing on a bench. But then Marie sits next to them and starts making figurines out of some seaweed and shells she found. They pretty much immediately fall in love with her once they see her face. Mx. S is too shy to say anything to her, and they try to keep Marie from paying any attention to them, but that backfires when they forget to plug in earbuds while listening to music on an iPod-like thingy. Marie looks over at Mx. S, and they make eye contact for the first time. Marie just kindly waves “hi” to them, and they wave “hi” back, before she continues making figurines. So now Mx. S tries to overcome their shyness and befriend her.

S1E6a - “Up in the Air”: Mr. Cuboid’s about to get on a hot air balloon (at a hot air balloon rental place) so that he can see the rare Galaxy Cloud (a cloud that looks like the night sky and is shaped like a star. It only shows up every 52 years and there’s a rumor that anyone who sees it will get one of their wishes granted), but before he gets in, the rope holding it down snaps, which sends it airborne. The Goobs have also rented a hot air balloon, though, and Mr. C at first doesn’t want to get in with them, but he eventually decides that it’s worth getting to see the Galaxy Cloud. He asks them if he can join them, and they let him get in (Evenstar and Remy don’t want him to join, but they agree to let him join only bc they know how much Wilma and Carl care about him). So now Mr. C has to try to find the Galaxy Cloud and try not to get annoyed by the Goobers.

S1E6b - “My Friend, Patch”: While searching for stuff with a metal detector on the beach at night, Wilma encounters Patch, a really tall blanket creature. She floats over to them and greets them, but they’re extremely shy and they don’t respond to her. Wilma asks if they’re okay and they slowly nod once. She then shows them the stuff she’s collected, and after hanging out a bit, the two start to become friends. But Wilma wants to bring them with her to public areas (namely an antique store and an ice cream shop) and introduce them to the other Goobs (and Mr. Cuboid and Egg). Patch is hesitant at first, but they decide to face their fears for their new friend.

S1E7a - “My Remyguard”: When Evenstar and Carl are at the park, someone accidentally throws a frisbee at Evenstar’s head, which causes them to pass out. Carl brings them to his house, where he, Wilma and Remy wait for Evenstar to wake up. When they do, Remy decides to take it upon himself to become Evenstar’s bodyguard. The only problem is that Remy cares a lot more about Evenstar’s safety than his own (because deep down he’s extremely selfless), which worries Evenstar.

S1E7b - “At the Bowling Alley”: Remy goes to the bowling alley, where Reilly also happens to be there. The two bowl together for a bit before Carl shows up (he and Remy were to meet at the bowling alley, Carl was just a tad late). Reilly develops a crush on Carl, but they try to hide from him while also trying to keep bowling with Remy.

S1E8a - “Tough Egg”: After Mr. Cuboid scolds him for being a scaredy cat, Egg decides to act tough and fearless. But that’s easier said than done. (created June 11, 2024)

S1E8b - “Film Con!”: Laurence purchases a ticket to Film Con and gets a second one free. Since they don’t want to waste a free ticket, they want to give it to someone, but they don’t have any friends who want to go to Film Con, so they decide to give it to someone random. Laurence comes across Wilma, who gets a crush on them. They introduce themself, then hand her the ticket, and then almost leave before Wilma offers to go with them. They agree, and while they’re there, Wilma tries to hide her crush, while Laurence makes sure she has a great time.

S1E9a - “Animated Atrocity”: A new animation studio opens up in Gumdropia, and when Evenstar finds out about it, they get a job there. The only problem is that the studio makes poorly written cartoons that try too hard to be wacky, and Evenstar isn’t happy about that.

S1E9b - “Party Down”: Mx. Spencer throws a party at their office to celebrate their business’ 10th anniversary, but most of the people who came (who are Mx. S’ employees) just came for the punch. Wilma also attends (since Mx. S sent invites to the Goobs too but most of them are busy) and tries to get to know Mr. Cuboid’s coworkers, though it doesn’t really work out like she’d hoped.

S1E10a - “Rem-somnia”: Remy feels much wearier than usual, so Wilma gives him a chip (computer chip, that is) that makes him a LOT more energetic. The only problem is that it doesn’t wear off at night. Wilma’s out cold and can’t help Remy, so he tries to find a way to fall asleep.

S1E10b - “Comet”: When picking bingleberries in a forest at night, Remy encounters a celestial being, but they fly away as soon as he notices them. He tells the other Goobs and they just think he was having sleep-deprived hallucinations, so he tries to meet said being again and prove to his friends that they’re real.

S1E11a - “Patients Is a Virtue”: Evenstar and Remy go to the doc’s office for a check-up. The only problem’s that this is Evenstar’s first check-up ever (they never had nor needed a doctor on their home planet), and they’re absolutely terrified.
