Even as a long term I didn’t know the fan sign situation was this bad for NU’EST, I heard rumors of 80-90 people showing up for their fan signs, but 50 people is really quite bad. They have been through so much, and for Minhyun to openly talk about such a painful thing, he’s a really brave person.

I’m sorry you had to endure such difficulty, we will make you and Nu’est W shine from now on.

Why ‘NU’EST MTV Diary’ re-airing after 5 years is actually bittersweet: As it was originally cancelled because no one watched it

When I first heard the news of Nu’est’s diary airing after 5 years, it brought back some bad memories for me. I didn’t have any SNS so back then I didn’t watch it, but even watching it the first time about 4 years ago….the shows ending was very sad.

It was during Hello era, to put it in context because this was Nu’ests third comeback (despite already being 1 year old) A LOT of their young and frankly immature fans left because they hated the image change from Charisma to mature almost-ballad.The public loved it but the young fans weren’t keen. Also the fact that other boy groups had many comebacks while NU’EST were put in the basement with no activity for months, so despite being literally one of the biggest debuts in K-pop EVER, they fell off the map. Of course after that Pledis shipped them to China and Japan making things even worse, but let’s just talk about MTV diary right now.

The worst bit is that the boys were told roughly the show is canceled because no one watched it.

I was mad the staff told them roughly as if it was their fault! Other rookies in 2012 like EXO and B.A.P had surpassed them despite NU’EST selling more than both those groups combined the previous year, because of Pledis’ lack of funds and bad management.

Minhyun and the others joke around and pretend cry, but especially in JR’s eyes, you can really see the pain of no one watching their show.

You need to understand that this was almost 5 years ago, Nu’est have been struggling for so many years. Honestly, what can I say? It was one of the biggest downfalls ever, and none of it was their fault.

 But JR as always probably blamed himself for the show not doing well- although now he is happy, Jonghyun still has these memories of failure as a scar on his heart. 

In the press con. for his 1st variety ‘Night Goblin’ despite being the Maknae he said he’d take responsibility if the show didn’t do well. Making me have serious flashbacks to MTV diary being canceled. I hope he can give himself a break now, not everything is this fault he needs to see this.

It gets even sadder. They still have so much hope, they scream from the top of a hill their wishes to make it in 2013. Knowing how things got even worse for them after 2013 makes this really fucking hard to watch.

I just needed everyone to know that people watching and talking about MTV Diary, the show that was a failure 5 years ago, is a really big deal. I can’t think of another group who had their rise so late into their career.

Honestly, this show being viewed a lot now feels like some sort of symbol for NU’EST’s potential rise.

Dear NU’EST, I’m sorry you’ve been through more pain than most could bear, I’m sorry you didn’t hit the jackpot in 2013, 2014, 2015 or 2016.

But I am praying with all my heart you can finally hit the jackpot in 2017!

NU’EST saved themselves by joining Produce 101: From almost disbanding to the top of the charts

OK but I don’t think people understand enough how much impact pd101 has had on NU’EST?? For fucks sake for almost 2 years all that non-japan loves had to look forward to was  “NU’EST schedule- empty” because Pledis is shit. All we had was everyone calling NU’EST flop nugus saying they should disband. All we had was mistreatment and zero promotion for their 2016 albums when Pledis finally released them from Japan.

All we had was comebacks getting cut-short because of bad sales and music shows cutting NU’EST performances bc they weren’t “famous” enough. All we had was Music shows giving them the lowest quality mics and equipment and never uploading their performances onto their Youtube channels but managed to upload the more famous groups.

All we had was 10 months of waiting after Canvas, wondering if NU’EST will ever come back again and when. All we had was Instagram updates keeping us alive. All we had was the whole kpop fandom roasting NU’EST alive when they went on pd101 calling them cheaters. All we had was seeing NU’EST members, even the ones who never cried once in 5 yrs (Baekho) break down.

All we had was the members look straight at the fucking camera on produce 101, and admit that they failed and that their disbandment was near. Let me tell you on that die I fucking wanted to die right then when I found their reality. How many fans get to hear that?? Their idol, loves of their life, the group who you would be dead without, look so defeated and say right to your fucking face it’s over for him and your ultimate group of 5 years is almost disbanding because their company screwed them over like NO OTHER. Don’t underestimate what we’ve been through.

We had to sacrifice Minhyun in order to gain new fans. He had to tear himself away from his family in order to save NU’EST. I just . .  i need new loves, pd101 stans and everyone to really understand the importance of NU’ESTs come back and all this activity.

I want you all to know I feel overwhelmed right now with all this NU’EST activity. I want you to know how I feel. I want you to know this isn’t normal what NU’EST is going through, this is what you would call a miracle. I want you to know that the member did this all on their own, and everything single activity they have now is so fucking important. I need to know the reason why NU’ESTs thankfulness to fans might seem even excessive at times. Because they know how it’s like to have almost nothing so every single fan and every success (even small) means everything to them.

Thank you to old loves who stayed and thank you to new loves who joined. Without NU’EST my life would not be worth living and I would have nothing. I need you to know I am so bloody thankful for anybody who supports these 5 talented people.

Calling All L.O.V.Es for KWAVE U’s Special Calling Event

KWAVE U, a mobile app by KWAVE Official which aims to grant fans’ wishes from their favourite stars. Available on Google Play and the Apple App store. Right now, they’re having a Special Calling event for Produce 101 trainees, and both Choi Mingi (Ren) and Kim Jonghyun (JR) are on the list!

The total hearts we need would sounds overwhelming, but there’s actually many, many ways you can earn free hearts:

Do the daily missions. Check them by going into the three-line bar at the top left, you will see ‘Mission’. There’s also accumulative bonus for weekly missions, so don’t miss out.

Top right corner, plus the Heart/Kiss symbol and enter the Heart Charge page. There, you can watch commercials and earn Lucky Box. (random hearts, no limits).

In the same page, go to Lucky Draw tab and enter any lucky coupons you have. Coupons appear up to 3 times a day at random when you use the app.

You can easily earn hundreds of hearts every day, especially with the 4th step, trial and tested. You can also send hearts 10 at a time by pressing on the hearts button longer for a second, so as to reduce time.

The more hearts you send, the higher odds your wish will be fulfilled (of course, it must be a wish that’s possible for the stars to grant), so do give the app a try.

For Kisses, each Kiss = 60 hearts, and the app is having a 1+1 event right now till 31 Jul; this means you will get double the amount of Kiss at the original price. However, this is not mandatory as this requires actual cash payments.

Baekho and Mingi both holding onto Jonghyun tightly after they all got eliminated on Produce 101

Honestly, wish this picture was released sooner as it made me re-live the pain of produce 101 final episode. I think they are also looking at Minhyun sitting on one of the top 11 seats in this picture… which just makes it harder to look at.

When you look up the word “true love” in a dictionary, you’ll find a picture of NU’EST members.

The way Baekho tightly holds JR’s hand, and Ren holds him kills me. Taking someone’s else success as success for the whole group is who NU’EST is. You see on his face, JR is nothing but proud of Minhyun, even if Minhyun felt guilty.

As a long time fan, I can tell Jonghyun has changed as a person and as a leader after produce 101. Ren and Baekho expected him to take his elimination and the split of NU’EST members worse than he actually did. He didn’t cry, he just held it in and stayed strong for Minhyun and the members. But he’s always been like this, you want to know how he’s changed?? This time he did not blame himself. He has become better at excepting things and regained his confidence as leader.

In 2014 JR said despite wanting to give up everything multiple times,

               “We endured it all because we had each other”

I believe as long as Aron, Mingi, Jonghyun, Baekho and Minhyun have each other, their irreplaceable bond can overcome any hardship. Especially currently when bad things keep happening to them.

NU’EST deserve it so much. After so long, they will walk down the flower path to success together. They can do it because they have each other.

NU'EST’s participation on Produce 101 season 2 has brought upon a lot of scrutinize on the boys, and definitely on us, the L.O.V.E fandom. Dear L.O.V.Es, things we do or say can and will reflect on the boys. Just like Minhyun said - we have to be humble, and careful of our actions. There had been a lot of upsetting moments, frustrations and unjust assumptions, but those are not reasons for us to get warped in bitterness. 

There’s a lot of posts and anger directed to Pledis, but there’s nothing worth your time to focus on it right now. As Baekho mentioned in the interview, they had lower and lower album sales each time, and we have to ask ourselves, how many of us supported them during the most crucial promotion period? L.O.V.Es, let’s stop the hate for a moment and reflect upon ourselves, then build ourselves up from square zero again with the boys. 

Help to guide new fans and show them what NU’EST have to offer; pick no fights with those who attack us and they will pass us by; never put someone else down to elevate the boys’ because that is exactly the same as what they are going through right now; respond with tactfulness when needed; show support with gifs and encouraging messages, with likes on videos and positive comments. Remember, we are called L.O.V.Es, so let us focus on the positive, and spread the love. We are in it together, and we have to be more humble, we have to always be humble.

Sincerity is what touches people, positive mindset is what makes them stay, and humility is what helps us grow. Keep supporting the boys in any ways you can, and be awesome, fellow L.O.V.Es!
