Lady Maria has such facinating butch/queer masc vibes because her former master/father figure has a subservient and extremely feminine echo of her locked away in a dream and you assume she must have been like a beloved daughter and this is sad and sweet if a little creepy and then you meet her and she's dressed in men's style clothes and every honey-sweet word that drips from her mouth is backed up by an army's worth of ruthless, unrelenting violence and you're like OH and then go yesss!!
