Grandmacore and cottagecore is making me a little more at peace with growing older. It’s easier to accept my body won’t always look the way it does now, knowing there are other things to focus on, like my garden, baking bread, seasons changing, letters to write and friends to invite over for soup or tea. It has helped me shift my focus away from my appearance, and from the race to earn the most money and seem the most succesful, when I realized happiness can be found right here, in my garden, the woods, or at the kitchen table by the window.
