I didn’t think it’d be you. I don’t even know why I’m saying this, it’s just something that came to mind. I don’t know what I feel when I see you two together, or why. All I know is, I can’t bare looking at you together. I know we would never work, so I don’t even want to try. However, I also know there’s something here. The way we speak, the intense eye contact, the challenging each other (almost as if we were on the verge of an argument but both of us knowing we couldn’t be further from it), how close our bodies get, yet we never touch. Always hyper-aware of each other. You’ll pass by me and move your body to the contours of mine, slipping by barely not touching me. We’ll stand next to each other, I’ll always move closer to you, and you’ll always open up your body to adjust. I know if that were anyone else, you wouldn’t let them near you. You like your personal space, even if you care about them, so I know ours is different. How close we always are, yet we never touch because that would be crossing a line. A bigger line now that she’s in the picture. I know I’m the one who let you down when you told me, but I still hate seeing you with her. I think she knows it. I caught her catching the glances, the stares, the body language, all the secret like gestures that are louder than any of our verbal contradictions. A look unrecognizable came across her face, I couldn’t read it. Im not even sure what I’m writing anymore. I just need to get it out there. In the end though, you chose her. It’s okay, I didn’t accept you when you chose me, but I don’t want you gone. I don’t know what I want, or how I feel. All I know is the sharp pangs i would get when I saw you kissing her 07/15/20
